2nd Time At The Track!

Ok last friday I went to the track for the first time and my best run was:

R/T .158
60' 2.049
330 5.735
1/8 8.688
MPH 83.07
1000 11.195
1/4 13.296
MPH 106.87

Yesterday I went to the track for the second time and here is my best run:

R/T .489
60' 1.760
330 5.192
1/8 8.045
MPH 85.47
1000 10.488
1/4 12.526
MPH 110.75

I think I picked up alot of time improving my 60ft, but I was dropping at 5k and I got alot of wheel spin (was spinning tires all the way to second gear). Is it common to have so much spin? Also I missed a shift almost 70% of my runs, I'm hoping this is because I'm still running on a stock clutch . Will a Act clutch make it easier to shift into gear? I was hoping to run better with my mods, what do you guys think?
Also after alot of runs my vaccum hoses started to come off, is this normal beacuse of the heat? It was about 92 degrees plus humidity.

Here is a list of the mods:
HKS FCON V-Pro Standalone ECU (tuned by David Buschur)
Stage 4 BJCH Head
ARP Head Studs
780cc Injectors Ultimate Racing
272 HKS cams
Ultimate Racing Turbo-back Exhaust
HKS EVC 5 Boost Controller (21.5 psi)
HKS RS Intake
HKS SSQV BOV
Buschur Deluxe Intercooler
Buschur Upper Intercooler Piping
Buschur Mini-Battery Kit
Grounding Kit
Tein S-Tech Springs

Not really. Your launch was good, your ET was good, and your mph was good for pump gas. You're only a tenth or two off on the ET. Yeah, I ran 12.15 at 110, but my MPH is artificially low due to my 4th gear limitation. My shifts are silky smooth with no problem, so I have an advantage there, too. I do have an ACT, but it shifted just the same with the stock clutch, so the ACT didn't change or affect that aspect of it.

I don't know how much extra you're supposed to get from that built head or the fmic/piping, so I think you're on track. 90+ degree weather makes it very hard to make good power. You are making just about as much power as I am, and I was on a mix of 116/93 oct. In cooler weather, you'd probably do 12.2-12.3 at 112, and with better shifting and a hooked launch, you could knock on the doors of 11s with no additional mods. You should try tossing in some race gas...you would be amazed at the gain when you raise the boost and remove fuel, because knock is reduced dramatically, which allows you to go much faster at higher boost levels.

definately weather had something to do with it but i would think with your mods at least 12.3 or better with race fuel mixed in there. also, dont know how many miles you have on your 03 but it could be time for a new clutch and some stiffer bushings for the shifter. if i'm not mistaken, you still have the stock 03 turbo and you could turn the boost up to 23psi safely with race fuel mixed in there. 112 unleaded mixed with 93 octane seems to work pretty well for me when i turn the boost up. i have an 05 with the 10.5 hotside and according to al you can turn them up to 25psi safely with some higher octane fuel mixed in there. someone correct me if i'm wrong.........

Twan, you see the difference between his first and second timeslip? That's EXACTLY what I expect you to see when you get your 60' into the 1.7s. You will gain anywhere from .7-.9s and probably 4-5mph. Remember, your 60's were even worse...
