new mods and ran the 1/4.....

mods: dynoflash, gsc 272's, walbro 255, k&n drop-in, hallman bc @22psi falling to 19-20psi, 3" tbe w/cat delete, 93 octane.

now, before i get flamed, it was 2pm in the afternoon and the track temp was 115 degrees and it hit 99degrees with 50%+ humidity. i was goin to use racing fuel and bump the boost to 25psi but with the heat i figured it really wasnt worth it. only reason i went out was to get a test run in with my cams, fuel pump and dynoflash. it was hot as hell and usually wasnt a day i would go out but i wanted somethin to improve off of so i went out to test it out.

r/t - .32

60ft- 1.76

1/8 et- 8.16
1/8 mph- 83.26

1/4 et- 12.75
1/4 mph- 108.2

let me know what ya'll think.

no flame man, thats good. real good for 115 degree weather. a little more boost and some cooler weather and you will be in the low 12's and trapping 110+ with a decent 60'. keep it up

When I first started reading, I thought you were gonna still be in the 13s, but 12.75 isn't bad at all especially for the conditions and pump gas. Wow you former srt-4 owners really know how to drag race.

i wouldnt say i'm a great driver but i was really surprised i cut a 1.76 on the stock clutch. i was hitting consistant 1.80's all day. thanks to matt55, he gave me some advice on how to launch the car after he was done installing my cams. so mad props to him. u could tell the car was fallen on its face by 6000rpm because of the heat. i dont really think i could've drove it any better.

pretty good short time...need to work on shifting though. I was able to pull a 12.4 flat with that same trap speed and a tad better 60'. But good run none the less.

Oh yeah?!? Well, I ran a 12.52 at 82 mph!!!!! And it's on video!!

Anyway, freshsrt-4, that's not bad at all. The 60' is good, and the shifting is good, because when I hit 12.8 at 106.3, my 1/8th was 8.17 at 83.97. You hit a fractionally better 1/8th with the same 60' and LESS mph. Your cams then helped pull you through to a better 1/4-mile. Picking up 25mph in the back half shows you are making good power. You will probably see 110+ in non-nuclear weather like this...

well, hopefully in sept. i'll hit the track in better conditions with some race fuel and 93 oct. mixed and bump the boost up a lil bit and try to hit a low 12. i gotta say, i love the launch of the awd compared to the ol srt once i learned how to launch the beast. cant wait for some cooler weather like today, 80 degrees. car runs really strong in the morning and i know the power is definately there!

Yep, cooler weather should help quite a bit. I didn't realize how much of a difference it could make when I first ran the Evo in 60-70 degree weather en route to 104mph (stock) and then again in 55-60 degree weather en route to 12.8s at 106 (only S-AFC) until I ran again in 80+ degree weather with more mods and still only got 106-107, despite better ETs. Then, Sunday, I was even more modded than ever before, but was getting the same mph in 95 degree weather as I did in 65 degree weather with less mods...it makes a significant difference.
