Wartalon and EvilDylan will be proud!
I finally broke into the 7's at that local 1/8th mile. My time was 7.98 @ 86.19 with a 1.66 60 ft time. I had been playing around with a new launching method, and it seemed to work really well. I had been revving and holding to 5000 till the light turned, then slipping the clutch. Now I dont really pay any attention to the lights, i just wait till the 2nd yellow light drops, then floor it, and when it hits 5k or so, let off the clutch pretty fast. I spin out like crazy, then take off with a very consistent 1.6 60 ft. I also dont lift off the gas on the 2-3 shift now, so I think that made a difference as well. My other runs of the night were 8.02 and 8.04, both at 85.5ish, and both with a 1.67 60 ft. I would say that my new method is much more consistent, and the only reason I am not at 7.8 is because of the base flash instead of the full custom flash. I am installing alcohol next week, and getting tuned on the 10th, so lets hope for some even faster times!

thanks alot for the comments everybody.
EVO8LTW, My reaction time using that method is slow, .8068
GOKOU, Practice makes perfect on the powershifting...lol...I just hold the gas to the floor, slam the clutch, and bang the shifter in gear as fast as i possibly can. I also have the lancershop short shifter and shift bushings, and they made a HUGE difference IMHO.
DCSilvrEvo, I am probably running the crappiest tires of anybody on this forum. I was in a bind for money when I bought them, so I went with some Wal-Mart specials....lol I forgot what brand they are, but they are 245/40/17's. They dont grip for **** around curves, but they have lasted over 27,000 miles, and they still look brand new! Whenever I get around to buying some new tires, ill go with something a little nicer maybe
Wartalon, I believe you are right about the base flash. My car is running rich as hell. As a matter or fact, I almost feel bad pulling up at McDonalds in my car because it smells like pure gas coming out of my tailpipe....lol.....When I get my alky (which was shipped yesterday!!!) and the new flash, ill report back. Of course, I may have to change my underwear first

I don't know about you but I have the stuff you mention and still having a hard time shifting even without power shifting at high rpm. Then again I have the act clutch which could explains it.
