me and friend went to the kingdom of bahrain this week end to do a test run for the evo ... to get a base line to start to install the parts and know how much performance we did over stock .

ok i have a 2005 evo MR 5 speed .
I must say the moment i got in i was freaked out ...swetting , nervos and wanting to **** every 3 min !!!
i went on the line and the first run i was beside a RWD super street celica with a 4G63 engin had slicks ..no enterior what so ever ....and he had a N20 . so basicly it was a race car .

for me when i saw the car i was like OHHHHHHHHH SHEEEEEEEEET!
ok time was up ..... i was scared to brake my transfear case ... so i went on the water so i can get some wheel spin .

ok first runn on the drag .... and having the helmit on for the first time ...wich is so ****ty !!!! i cant draive with it .

any way i jumped infront of him but he gaind on me in the last 30 or 40 meters.
i didnt mind as he is fully moded ...totaly striped out and on slicks and N2O and i am stock ok just have a JIC exhust and a drop in K&N.

i think i did ok for my first runn ever with all that fear and ppl on the stages looking at me !!!

any way my first slip was like this

then i raced a camaro am not sure if it has N2O or not but my friend said he thinks it has N20.

he was on slicks too ..... what i think he has all bolt ons and cam...maby N20 not sure .
ok this race i scrwed up big time .
first i wasnt concentrated i forgot the window open and my car nose dived when i jumped cuse this time i didnt use water and made sure the tiers are dry when i launched .
i was launching on 5000 RPM

ok no need for the number but i did a better RT as i got .93 and my 1/4 was 14 flat.

the last time i was with the same camaro ..... this time i made sure the tiers are wet so the car will not dive like last time .

it was a good run .....but i had some problems as the car had wheel hop and i miss shifted from 2nd to 3rd .....ok what happed ...i took the gear out from 2nd when it was going int 3rd my hand sliped of the gear knob as my hand is the type of hand which swets like hell !!!
i need to get glovs next time .....any way i got it back in ...but it was too late ..any way it was my best runn of the day .

ok even though i had some issues ...but am glad ...i know i can make a 13.5 runn but i need to go on more .

it was funn ...it was more than funn ...it was like mmmmmmmmmm i dont know but for sure one killer adrenalin rush ...

how much can a stock evo do ?
i have lots of mods with me but nothing on yet u can see some of it in my sig ... am gono install it tune it and runn it soo ...... i hpe i can get into the 11's .

 

I could be wrong but I thought MR's were ONLY made w\ 6 speeds...Decent run though I did about the same my first time.

some of my friends ....the guy with the cap is me the guy with the bike racing sute has a R1 and got 10.2 wich was amazing for his forst time ...the last guy on the right ...has an eclipce wich has a 4G63 block with a stroker and lots of mods ..running 10.3 on slicks ... but he is a experiance racer .

my RT here was 1 sec !!!!!!!! but by the 3rd run it went down to .5 sec

not yet bro i have them all in my room tell i get my base line .... i will have it all on in the comming 3 weeks

 

I know in the US thy only come 6 speed ...the place am from we get them only 5 speed ... i know japan has the 5 speed MR's

 

13.4 for the Celica? That is awfully slow for the amount of work. Nice time by the way. You can get very close to high 12's with more practice. With more experience, you would have killed that "race" Celica...and embarrassed it.

 

i know ....ppl calped for me when i was comming back .. as thy knew the evo was stock and that celica was a pure drag car not street legal car... but it had a 4g63 in it !
