better times, worse mphs?

i went to the fontana drags yesterday, had a good and bad night. after adjusting my act clutch i was actually able to shift right this time, my time dropped .3 after adjusting my clutch. now its at 13.4.

i dont know if it was because the track(the tires were chirpping for a while after launching) or because my clutch now slips when i shift from 3rd to 4th but my mph's went down to 101-2.

i used to run 13.7@104 now i run 13.4@102. do u think this is due to the clutch adjustment?

It could be from your clutch adjustment. Did you change anything else since the last time you ran at Fontana? I missed going there yesterday because of a bad cold. I was hoping to break into the 12's. Best that I've done at Fontana was a 13.16@104MPH on 91 octane on 18PSI.

Well if you've ruled out any other variables like boost leaks, you can try and adjust your adjusting rod back in a little and see if that helps. I was having lockout problems with my new clutch and now I have my adjustment rod backed out all the way out. I no longer have lock out problems, but my ability to shift real fast is gone.

well last time i went i was also getting 1.85, but if i could've got traction last night i probably wouldve been in the low 1.8 maybe high 1.7.

if i couldve had the 1/8th the 05 had i wouldve been low 13s right? i was catching him up at the end but he had a much better launch

it was actually a pretty fast looking car but the guy just stayed at the light.

there was actually a big *** diesel silverado that ran 12.91 at 112, he smoked the new 400hp gto it was kinda funny.
