New pump gas and race gas bests
12.26@110.0 93oct on stock cams and a mail-in Dynoflash
12.00@113.7 110/93oct mix on stock cams and a mail-in Dynoflash + SAFC
It was a day of exhiliration and frustration. I killed my best pump gas time by almost 3/10ths on my very first try due to an awesome 60' and the ability to run higher boost without detonation thanks to the 50-degree weather. It also allowed me to only waste 1 run on pump gas, which was good since my real goal is to hit 11s, but that requires race gas. I then hit my best time ever on race gas on the first try, too, but this is where the frustration sets in. Here's the time slips, which are the source of my half-smile/half-grimace:

I was extremely happy with the 12.26 on pump gas, but simply deflated by the 12.000. I've never even heard of such a thing. You would think that when your previous best is 12.01, and you beat it, you'd be in the 11s, but noooooooooo...not me! This is apparently my punishment for busting people's ***** here.
*Disclaimer: I am under the belief that the lane I was using each time today was off by 2mph, because there's no way I went from 108-109 to 112mph on pump gas, and there's no way I went from 113.2 to 115.7mph on race gas with 0 changes to my setup. In fact, my timeslip on the 12.000@115.7 is almost identical to my 12.01@111.67 except for the final mph, so I think the real mph's were 110 and 113.7, respectively. I don't even have enough gearing in 4th to hit 115.7. I used to hit the 7600rpm rev limiter at 111mph, and it was only raised by 200rpm.

Congrats on the pump gas run and better luck next time on your goal. I too think you are being punished
There is a good chance the temps are having a significant effect on your mph. My friend has the CryO2 kit on his DSM and jumped 3MPH when using it at the same A/F in 90 degree temps. The typical rule of thumb is plus 1% HP per every 10 degrees cooler. Turbo cars are even more sensitive to changes in temp. I agree though that the times do not make sense compared to your previous runs unless maybe you were shifting a little slower.
Those are some nice 60's. Are you doing burnouts now to clean off and heat up the tires?

As for the 60's, I've been doing 4-wheel burnouts just to clean the tires off for a little while now, but I would normally still spin. I guess this time I got my tire pressure right, because I almost wasn't able to get the tires to spin in the burnout box. When I hook in the box, I know the launch is gonna be good. Because of that, I was able to do much harder launches without spinning, which led to 60's of 1.66, 1.68, 1.68, and 1.74. The 1.74 was the only one that spun part of the way through 1st. I think I have it figured out pretty well now as far as the tire pressure and burnout routine, so hopefully this will continue in the future as long as the track itself is good...

Good job....
i didnt know that it will help to deflate tire i have 38 psi on 255 35 18.
i tried to do burn out on my last pass.. but spun more which affected my time.

Next time I hit the track, it will be in PMI in Colorado at 6000', so I think the quest for 11s on stock cams, stock piping, stock FMIC, stock o2 housing, stock exhaust mani, stock intake, stock injectors, and stock turbo is over. I sux.
