I went to ATCO on saturday (last day of season)

I had huge traction problems my first pass. this is on 18x8.5 rims with 245/40 kumho ecsta supras. The only problem I had was when i launched the clutch wouldnt slip at all, so the car either spun all 4 through 1st gear, or fell on its face. I was trying to launch at lower rpms but you'll see a few vids that It bogged down.

FIRST RUN WAS FULL TIRE PRESSURE, REST OF RUNS WERE LOWERED

3rd run was a better 60ft but still not the 1.6 i wanted. FROM HERE ON IN, MY PRESSURE IS 15 PSI IN FRONT AND AROUND 18 PSI IN BACKS

5th run was best of the day. Cut a decent 1.77 60ft, hit 2nd pretty good. JUST BARELY HIT THAT 11 SEC PASS!!!

LAST PASS MADE BEFORE BREAKING. I WAS SO CLOSE TO 11'S HERE I WANTED TO GO AGAIN, AND THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW. AFTER THIS PASS THE TRANNY LITERALLY SPLIT DOWN THE MIDDLE. THIS PASS THE CAR HAD THE MOST POWER. NOT A GREAT 60FT AT ALL AND I STILL RAN 12.0 AND A HIGH *** TRAP!!!

I THEN BLEW UP. SORRY FOR VIDEO BEING SO SHORT, MY GF FELT BAD SO SHE SHUT OFF THE CAMERA.

AFter this last blow up, i'm done with the car. I'm in a ton of debt and i'm gonna lose my license for a lil while because of tickets. I put a deposit down on a 2006 M45 with Navi and i plan on leasing that for 3 years until i get my license back in 100% clean form and get out of debt. After that i'd like to buy another evo and do it all over again.

Out of curiosity didn't you have a TRE tranny? What caused it to fail? Do you think it was from your all wheel drive burnout/donut a while back?? It is just weird with the power level you are at, that this happened? Good Luck!

 

no, i didnt end up getting the TRE tranny, just the TRE T-case
