05 Mr > C5 Z06

Here's the low quality version of my 12.000 run. You can't really see me smack the Z06 off the line from this angle, but you can see him during the middle part of the track and then my win light. This run is also the one in my sig with the timeslip, so you can see that it was actually an awesome race where I only won by .01 in terms of ET (he left later, but that was by design on his part).

That Z06 later went on to hit 11.8s and trapped 120, so he was definitely much faster than I was, hah. To me, despite it being a 1.66 60', the launch doesn't look that awesome to me. What about you guys?

Warrtalon's 12.000

Huge props to EvoFunk for filming, editing, compressing, and then working so hard to send me the 20mb file electronically. The version I have is higher quality than the one on Youtube, but that's all I got for now. Evofunk will be giving me the 100mb version on DVD in a bit, so that should look nice, too.

Compliments are great, but to me, it looks and sounds like a weak launch. I was expecting a much more violent-looking launch for a 1.66. This one is just smooth and steady, but it does show my method, which I am constantly trying to explain in words (difficult).

Don't be too impressed by the trap speed, though. Those of us who were there that day come to the conclusion that the left lane was reading about 2mph high in the left lane and only at the 1/4-mile mark, and here's why:

- Same times in each lane with a clear 2mph difference
- My 1/8th-mile ET and MPH were the same as all my other 12.0s, but the 1/4-mile mph was magically 2.5mph higher than my fastest ever with 0 gain in ET from the 1/8th to the 1/4.
- No way can I hit 115.7 on my mods, hah.
- If I actually were able to hit 115.7, it would be more like an 11.80 than a 12.00.

It's Capitol Raceway in Crofton, MD.

I trapped 168 mph in the 1/8 in the other lane.

Sounded like an automatic vette. Did they make an auto Z06?

Smooth launch!

Was this with your new ported mods that you just got back from Buschur? If not, when was this race done?
