Put on a very large flame suit.

Anyway depends if you get an evo8 or evo9 and how big your budget is. If you haven't had experience launching an AWD before it may take a while to figure out to launch it. Unlike RWD cars you can not dump the clutch instead a quick slip will help you get those 1.7/1.6 sixty fts.

The resident drag expert, warrtalon was able to run a 12.00 with a turboback exhaust (thats just a downpipe, test-pipe and catback), manual boost controller, SAFC-II and race gas. Your going to need more than 400whp to hit mid 11's.

If you purchased an evo8 I would get a turbo back exhaust, hks cams, manual boost controller with boost gauge, barrel of c16, powerflex motor mounts, custom reflash and safc-II (for race gas settings). This set of mods should allow you to run high 11's at around 116-117, but to get into the mid 11's you will definately need a turbo upgrade. Also, expect to set aside some funds for a clutch as this possibly being your first AWD car, launching may take a while.

The evo 9 is another story. The factory turbocharger has shown some great potential, however cams have not been released for this car yet. On racegas with a proper tune it has hit upwards of 375whp on a dynojet. I believe with a tbe exhaust, cam (s), race gas that evo9's should easily hit those 11's. Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

You can do it on the stock turbo, but your going to have to be much better than the average driver. Your gonna need excellent tuning and Cams (280s). I would say a new clutch is also necessary. Everything you mentioned already, is stuff you will need to do, except for the new turbo, although you could take that route if you wanted too. I mean there are so many different routes to achieve mid 11s I could type forever. All of it doesn't matter unless you are a good driver. My 12 second list is filled with a lot of cars that have the potential to run mid 11s, but are not.

EVO 9 with all the bolt on's + cams (when they come out) and I bet that would get you there.

Sorry, this isn't the place to ask such newbie questions. You need to search first. THese guys were nice enough to help you without flaming, but then you just come back with more frequently asked questions, so we can only expect the trend to continue. DO some homework, then pose questions in the tech forums above. Use the drag forum to talk about your drag results, please.

Oh, and to think you could practice and make perfect with ease is foolish. Btw, 400whp is good enough for 11.4-11.5.

I would say 400whp is good enough for a mid 11 if that is from a dyno dynamics. Dynojet wise I would say you would need more like 450whp. You will be pushing it to run a mid 11 on the stock turbo. Having said that it can be done, but you will probably need to port your head or try some other engine trick. Either that or get an AEM and push your motor to the bitter limit. I prefer to stay conservative and run a larger turbo. Helps keep your motor in one piece.
