S4 runs back to back 11.0's at the strip
Your tire pressure is hurting you... with that little HP you should be able to launch it without nearly as much tirespin even with stock suspension. Your shifting isnt all that fast either which it seems you already know about. You also already know your gear ratios suck. You could shift without lifting... granted you have tiny turbos anyways but Im sure your losing a little spool between shifts and the momentum of the engine would push the car harder each and every shift. Lastly, the car simply doesnt make that much power but even at that power level you could hit high 10s but not much more. I must admit I am impressed with the car though... nice launch also. (How do you get to run the car without a rollbar without getting thrown off the track?)
Don't forget that the S4 has torsen diffs in which are torque sensing. A S4 launches very diffrent then a Evo. I wonder hoe much changing the suspension will help? What about PapaSmurf, he did a lot of 1/4 mile beating on the car, maybe he has some help? Did you try Mike from the AW board? What flywheel are you using, RS4 or the lightwieght one from AWE? How much do you like your car? You can no lift shift 1/2 and 3/4 on the the ecu you have and not kill the tranny but it is pretty rough on it. I did at least a 100 on my stock tranny before I ripped out sychros. Are you using FATS? Can you log anything? It would be interesting to see boost recovery after each shift.
Maybe I missed it somewhere but what does the timeslip breakdown look like? With that 60' you should be in the 10's no doubt with that MPH. A little quicker shifting and keeping the turbo in song could be all that makes the difference.
Not too shabby for an S4.

Good stuff marc! 10s are right around the corner.
I gotta +1 on the tighter suspension helping with your ET!

The thing is though, is your running a corvette, you can afford to run low pressure in your rear tires because you run your fronts at 40psi. The problem I see with putting 4wd in the mid to high teens is that there would be an a**load of drag which would kill everthing except for his launch. I might give it a go but I think you are right where you need to be and should focus on improving the other aspects that have been discussed.
The times are really not that bad for his MPH. It is an AWD car... not a RWD V8 here that can hit 10s at 124mph. His biggest problems are his shifting. Suspension, tire pressure, etc, can hurt him but the fact is his 60 foot times are not horrid. He just needs to shift a little faster and lower the tire pressure a little bit. The tire pressure could give him .1 in the 1/4 and the shifting could give him .1 Those are the two free mods.

Why do other shops run their 9/10 second EVO's with slicks at 12-15PSI? The fact is it does hurt your trap but another tenth on the 60' and not breaking loose to that point or after, equates to many tenths on the other end of the track and the MPH is not as important as the ET. I would rather run a 12.07@111mph than a 12.2@113mph any day.
