First time at the track with the IX
My first time at the track was not as dissapointing as i thought..
r/t-.020
1/8-8.52
mph-84.7
Only a 1/8th mile and this is the first time i have raced legally!!! yes i know im trying to stop street racing.. But i had a full tank of gas and i am bone stock so i think that is respectable... OOO and the best part about it i beat my best friend with a 04 Sti with tbe, intake, tune, and a ebc..... This is the same Suby guy that told me i was crazy for getting a evo cause they are "slow"... HAHAHAHAHHAHA beat his *** by 2 cars then i said "Damn those IX tail lights are sexy aint they!!" He just drove by the tower got his time slip and left throwing flames.... So there is gonna def be some 8.1 and 8.0 times comin after i put on my hks rs helix tbe and get my tune next week.

It is average but I have never really tried to launch my car and i bogged a little.. don't lknow my 330' but my 60' was 2.0... I'm sure with a lil more practice i can be around 8.2 easily
Yes, that isn't good, but you didn't embarrass yourself at all. Great job for your first try, man. I only did a little bit better on my stock 05 - 8.4@80, but as you can see, your IX was way faster. I just got you on the driving part, and although that was on my first try with the Evo, I already had tons of experience from the past.

Yes.. I know this sounds gay but i have really been into drifting for the past 2 years and all i have drove is my s14 with a sr.. so launching that and my evo is two diff worlds.. They only diss I have is that I KNOW if i could figure out the launch i could run 8.2's all night.... I just don't understand what is the best way to launch.... Is Launch control gonna make that much of a diff when i get flashed?

That And i am so glad that my Sti friends respect my stock IX now... Now i just gotta out run my other friend his Sti with just a aem intake and a tbe ....while hitting fuel cut ran ...NO **** a 8.1 at 79
You already had launch control, so if you didn't use it, then that won't change anything when you get flashed. Launching properly is the most difficult thing about drag racing, so it will just take some getting used to. I have some videos showing how I do it:
Real drag launch at the track
Practice launch using the 2-step

I really appreciate it but I always thought that if i used the 5k limiter it jumps off the line wuick but then bogs down... I was feathering the gas at about 4.5 k and slippin it slowly
4.5k is way too low and probably did nothing but damage your clutch by slipping it too long. That is unless you bogged, which means you didn't slip it enough to get going - very possible since your 2.0 is about equivalent to a FWD car. No, you don't bog off the limiter unless you just don't do it right. Also, IXs are set at 5500rpm, which is just about perfect. Please never launch below 5k, but also never dump the clutch.
when my car was sock i ran a 8.4@81 for the 1/8th ,so ur car seems pretty strong
My way to launch the car is full throttlle bouncing of the 5 k limiter and slip the clutch very quickly, u should able to do 1.8-1.7 60' like that.
good luck
