For those who are interested we weighed these cars at the track the other day;

IX gsr 3150lbs without driver
VIII ssl 3200lbs without driver

Both cars had roughly 2 gallons of fuel and no spares. The IX had no jack also.

My 2004 EVO VIII no sun roof weighed 3220lbs with a full tank of gas and no driver. I don't remember if the spare tire and jack were in there?

I'll back that up. Mine weighed exactly the same 3150...

 

Why is the weight so low on EVOs compared to the advertised weight of the factory, in comparison then, my IX RS should weigh close to 3100 pounds or less.

 

Probably some parts missing. JK.

 

yesterday i weighted my car and with nothing on the trunk,2 galons maybe of gas it said 2973lbs!

 

I knew that jack was heavy....but I didn't think it weighed 50 lbs!

my 05 VIII weighed in at 3140 with no spare and tools with very little gas.

 

Anyone knows the weight of 05 MR?

 

Full tank of gas makes a big difference.

Dont put a cage in the cars.. youll be very upset

Mine weighed 3100 with about 5 gallons of gas, no rear seats, no sound deadening, no trunk stuff, full 10-point cage, no AC, no heater, racing seats.

Car had two fuel systems in it at that point however, I had the full fuel cell done with all -10 lines and A-1000 and the stock tank assembly. Its probably more like 3000 with all my tools and the extra tank out of it.

 

Has anyone weighted a ix mr yet?
