For the record: I think Warrtalon can be rather asinine a good bit of the time, however that doesn't speak at all about his driving. Anyone who does judge his driving by statements he makes really just isn't thinking clearly. I rarely post, but this is just funny.

I have a challenge for you....

Mr. S4 ... let me welcome you to EvolutionM ... a forum for Mitsubishi enthusiasts. During the time this site has operated there have been thousands and thousands of posts. You claim that "anyone" can do waht Warrtalon has done, well then, find me someone on this site. It really shouldn't be hard to find someone is indeed anyone can do it with all of the Evo drivers here. Here is my challenge:

Find me ONE person, just one, that has accomplished the same thing as Warrtalon (by this I mean run an equal time with the same or less mods on a respectable track) and I will Paypal you 50$ USD post haste. If you cannot, then kindly be silent and let us enjoy not having to listen to you.

warrtalon posts the facts, whether you want to hear it or not. He is one of very few to spend less than 1000 and go 12.0 in an Evo VIII. he helps people with modding and deciding on mods for what they want out of their car. He's not just trying to drag, but also trying to get better at auto-x and other fields where our car is meant to be. I'm still trying to understand how you talk so much about evo's but dont own one? Warr can estimate times for tracking and shift points and other things, so dont try to criticize someone who loves the car and whats its capable of just because he wants people to know some truth. he posts videos, timeslips, etc. to prove it, yet no one believes them???

Show me more than a handful of evo's that break 12.3 on warrtalons mods (less than 1000 in mods)

 

Yeah, it's quite funny how S4 complains about me but then does exactly what he's complaining about as far as being pompous and arrogant. What a tool.

He's also very wrong about my times. If ANYONE could do it, then why has NO ONE ELSE done it. No one else has duplicated what I've done in the MR, and only 2 guys are even in the same ballpark, both of which are friends of mine on here. Funny how S4 can make all these claims about my road racing and drag racing when none of them are true and he has no clue what he's talking about. Typical of a thug like him. You all should have seen the crap he sent me over AIM - he's a true piece of work.

SubiEvolved, not sure why you're getting uppity. What you have accomplished is great, too. I didn't say I was the best, but I am one of the best. Don't you think I could run 11.8 with the money spent on your car? If so, then we're even. Great! Keep up the good work. I don't see any reason for you to jump on this guy's bandwagon unless you roll with his illegal street racing "crew" up in NY (kinda sounds like it). He's trying to tell us the Evo was meant to street race on an open highway. Wow. And then he continually denies the facts on my road racing exploits. I put down the fastest lap of the weekend of any car, and he's trying to spin it every which way possible just because I was in an HPDE class. He definitely has some envy issues. He shouldn't, but he does, and I can't figure out why...

 

I agree that he is a better than average driver but that doesnt give him the right to flaunt it. I have yet to see anyone on this forum run a better time with the mods I have below and this was done 2 years ago. I havent even seen any of these hybrid turbos (20g, WR) trap higher than i did with a 9.8cm housing. Do i go around bragging and telling people what to do???

 

Sorta disappointing considering the time I spent helping you in the past. Also disappointing since I'm from both Mobile and Alpharetta, but you probably forgot when we talked about that.

 

Everytime Mike posts a street racing video, it gets downloaded by THOUSANDS of people and gets HIT HARD. If the videos are so crappy, why is the traffic actually INCREASING STEADILY with each video!? Makes no sense. I think people like you are just saying the video sucks for the sake of being stubborn and arguing with me. Damn hypocrites. Download my videos, use up our bandwidth, and then bash the videos.

He might know alot of things, but he has to work on his people skills.

His attitude sucks and he's cocky we all know this, and that why I personally don't like him. I'm just trying to stick to the point. This s4 guy is just way out of line and his attitude is pathetic. Bottomline, Warr is good for the evo community because he has a lot of knowledge and what he's done with his car is impressive. He spent $1000 and ran a 12.1 in an EVO 8 MR, period. Does he deserve all the publicity and sponsors? Well thats for everyone to decide on their own.

 

Did you ever possibly consider that the reason you see people downloading the movie is because they have yet to see it and have no idea of the quality? If people haven't seen the video they don't know that there is nothing to it, so they don't know to not download it. But, hey, it could just be me.

I am not saying the video is so great... It just pisses me off how everyone downloads it and takes it for granted... Nobody appreciates the time that goes into the videos... The time it took to capture the footage... The time it took to edit the video... The time and money spent on the bandwidth... Do you guys thinks a high speed server serving thousands of people with extremely fast downloads and high quality videos is free? It's not. So all I ask is that you guys show a LITTLE appreciation for the entertainment people provide for you at THEIR time and cost... And I'm not just talking about my videos... I'm talking about other people's as well. Sure you'll fire back and say "the video sucks, it's retarded" blah blah blah just to try to get under my skin, but let's face reality here guys... The video posted in this thread is one of the best ever produced.

The s4 member needs to chill out and visit Audiworld. Its great you and your friend streetrace in NY but evom.net drag racing section doesn't care because its ILLEGAL.

I also find it pretty histerical that you can't seem to leave warrtalon out of every post on evom.net, its pretty evident that you have issues. You obviously are a good driver, as seen by your 1/4 times and sponsers, but no need to personally attack another member.

I find it extremely humerous you think an evo's function is a "high-way" racing car or a roll-racing type of car just because of the tarmac label on the ACD. Don't get me wrong if you dump a lot of money it sure can be but the evo is not the only car that fits this category.

Warrtalon may seem to be bit "harsh, rude, condescending, etc." but his posts are concise, logical and actually answer questions. IF every joe on evom.net could duplicate his times then I sure as hell would see everybody being sponspored. Warr actually having several sponsers does say a lot about his potential as a 1/4 driver and even road-race driver.

edit: Just read your post on video-editing and I agree its time-consuming and a major pita so is finding a server... It gets much worse when you have a couple hours of footage though...

I wonder if you could post the vids on off-topic?
