Stock '06 RS
Stock '06 RS
1st run; Missed 1 -2 shift twice, cost me a second? I think it would've but I am not a drag racer.
The second run was after an hour of oil clean up. I was tired. I thought I burnt up the clutch but the people that ran before and after me were complaining about not having any traction due to the track still being slick. My tires could've been spinning or I could've slipped the clutch.
................1st...........2nd
R/T---------.608-------.859
60'---------1.995----- 2.054
330--------5.846------5.739
1/8th------8.977------8.837
MPH------- 80.10------79.15
1000------11.625----11.486
1/4--------13.826----13.688
MPH------- 102.17----103.28
Was a rather rotten night. I did not do full 5k launches. How'd the stock '06 do less the driver error?

You probably did toast your clutch. The lower RPM you launch at, the MORE you slip your clutch so you don't bog. Don't be affraid of your 5k limiter, rev it up there and drop it. Not only will you save your clutch, but people won't make fun of you for being a horrible driver.
Those times are horrible for an Evo, and if i saw you at the track i would have made so much fun of you.

I have a routine with a few friends of mine. Every Wed., in the winter we go to Sean Bolan's in Bel Air and have a couple beers. Every Wed., in the summer, we are going to go up to Cecil Co. Dragway, http://www.cecilcountydragway.com/. I will have the Evo there every Wed. I may or may not run it but I will be there. We can turn this into a weekly mini-meet if you guys like.
I've been practicing the 5k launch. Makes a hell of a difference. I am going to run again next week Wed. 5/3.
My skills belong to road racing. I will be at CMP, http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com next weekend (5/6-7) for the NASA HPDE and this cars first outing on track.
