First time out with my IX

hey guys and gals, I ran this past weekend for the first time with my IX, i had ****ty reaction times but i was focused on learning first. I never used the 2 step at 5k but i feathered it out at 4k and ran 5 times and my times ranged from 13.34-13.5 @ 101-103.5mph, and 1.9xx 60ft The past few days I have practiced with the launch limiter and have done well not roasting the clutch and have been really smooth, i love it. What do you guys think I may run with this 1200-1500 rpm launch increase and boosted launch. thanks-

Your Trap speed seems to be a little on the low side.

Well, you should never launch at 4k - that's terrible for your clutch, since it requires a LOT of slipping. That's what kills the stocker - all the heat generated from low rpm slipping.

WHy didn't you just use the 5k limiter if you had practiced it for a few days? You probably would have done much better.

Anyway, building boost on the 2-step isn't what makes you launch hard. It's just a matter of getting the timing right between gas and clutch while finding the proper tire pressure.
