help with drag times?
help with drag times? (added timeslips)
can someone diagnose my timeslip or is it fine for the mods i have? ill put a pic up tomorrow. but its
react .320
60' 1.828
1/8 8.35t
81.45mph
1/4 13.009
I launch at 6000 rpm does burnout
stock advants
tbe mbc k and n mail in flash
I turn the boost controller all the way up and it never goes above 22 psi ;( so I think something is wrong with it. al said something about a stiffer spring in it?

Well it sounds like you are just dumping the clutch at 6000. Try to hold it about 5000-5500rpms and just quickly slipping it out, DO NOT DUMP IT!
What rpm's are you shifting at? It looks like you might be shifting really slow.
As far as the MBC you need to have the stiffer spring in it. You shouldn't have to turn it all the way. What type of MBC is it? Also we need to know more track conditions. Wind, temp, etc.

You are burning out on purpose on the launch? That's not how you launch. You need to shoot out of the hole with as little spinning as possible but without bogging.
Your shifting is also extremely slow, because 108+mph means you're making pretty good power, but even with a 1.8 60', it should be a 12.7-12.8.
Do you have the Forge UNOS? If so, and you have it turned all the way up, then you probably have the soft spring, which means you're only seeing 19psi, not 22psi - it won't even go to 22psi, so if you see that, then your boost gauge reads high. Put in the stiff spring, then turn the MBC all the way down and tune it from there until you get to 21psi or so on 91oct, or 24-25psi with race gas.

I let the clutch slip on take off for a split second the drop it. it does burnout but only a little bit. the MBC is a forge and it will get to the 1.4 kg/cm on the stock gauge. it was probably like 81 outside no wind in phoenix az
Yep, put the stiffer spring in.
Slip the clutch alittle more at a lower RPM.
Try letting alittle air out of your tires. Start around 30psi and let it out alittle at a time.
Practice, practice, practice! Should be good to go

thanks alot guys .. i put a stiffer spring in and now i have way more adjustment available. im not under standing when i should have the highest boost setting. I get to 1.3 bar floored in 2nd gear. but floored in 4th gear i get 1.5 bar with barely any and if any drop off. so do i leave it where it is? i going back to the track wednesday so i am gonna try again with what u are telling me.
k guys today is wednesday it was 87 degrees at about 930 pm . here in az. i ran a 12.92 @ 104 mph
my 60' was 1.8
1/8 like 8.3
@ 82 mph
1/4 12.92
104 mph
i am actually 4 mph slower in times but my ET is faster. am i shifting better now? or is it cuz i turned up the boost cuz i had it set low. i was also on 91 octane. last sat which was the times above was 100 octane. mixed with 91.

It depends on the weather conditions, your tune, and how accurate your boost gauge is. You can't just say "22psi" or "24psi." There are many, many factors. You can actually run much more than 24psi on race gas, but 22psi on 91oct is pushing it. IXs can get away with that better than VIIIs due to the coolant passages in the head, but remember that's 22psi PEAK, which you won't even see at the track, because you're never below 5500rpm. 22psi at 5500rpm is like 24-25psi at 3500rpm, which is too much on 91oct especially when it's nearly 90 degrees.
