10's in full weight finaly!

I finaly got my 10 sec pass in after a long winter of evo storage. It was at Norwalk on Monday, as Buschur, Switzer, and alot of other racers were there running and just having a great time! Here is the run.

evoviiiyou's 03 Evo VIII full weight on stock Advans and stock suspension.

R/T .336
60' 1.721
330 4.670
1/8 7.113
MPH 100.14
1000 9.218
1/4 10.981
MPH 128.02

Special thanks to Tym Switzer for getting my evo here! The Quaif dif. and Level 5 rear axles performed great. We drove the car there with out a trailer and could have driven it home, but its last pass of the day, piloted by BIG3_ETR, lost its stock transmission. Well time for upgrades in the tranny now.

It was good seeing the car run Les. Congrats on the 10 sec. pass! I'm sure it has more left in it especially with only a 1.7 60'.

I wanted to bring my car out to play but my clutch install wasnt done yet. Maybe next time though.

BTW.... Your Benz is pretty bad ***

Congrats man! You give me hope to actually go back out and do it

Sucks breaking parts though. Get it fixed back up and run her again!

You mind telling some specifics about the run? Psi, tires, tire pressure, gas type, turbo, etc

Thanks Jrod, I wish we would have met, but I was not sure who you were. Yeah the best the E55 did was:

R/T .985
60' 1.919
330 5.242
1/8 7.959
MPH 90.39
1000 10.303
1/4 12.270
MPH 115.54

Next time we will have to run our evo's. I know your ride rocks as well and it is looking sweet from all of the latest pics I have seen on evom! As far as the evo having more in it, I am sure that on drag radials it can go 10.7-10.8's, but this car is a street car and I drive her on the weekends for fun terrorizing the Lambo's, Ferrari's, and Vipers where I live. I like that at full weight on stock tires and suspension she did this well. Plus it looks as if Tym Switzer put on 30 pounds of muscle and definatly weighs 85-100 pounds more than me, so this did not help hehe

Thanks Trin! No problem, boost was at 30 psi as anymore and the FP3065 does not gain anything. Gas was C16 mixed with what we had left of import. Tym Switzer had his laptop hooked up for data logging to tune her in for the summer street driving. The tires were the stock Advans at 18-20psi, with stock suspension. In terms of the broken trans, this was expected sooner or later, as it was the stock trans running a quaife frt. diff. and level 5 rear axles, with the Exedy trip. The trans was the weakest link in my setup and I look foward for the upgrade anyway.

Awesome thanks man. What did the car dyno at? Sorry again for all the questions!

And I feel ya on the tranny problem... I ate mine up before I even got to run it hard

Why did you install the axles btw? Did you snap them previously or just preventing that from happening?

Yeah last time at the track the passenger rear axle let go, as with the stock tires the intial slipping and spinning seems to save drive line parts, but as soon as they hook a sharp bite and shock seems to load the axles. The rears seems to be prone to this and I was a real world victom. RWH was 567 and 479 rwtq...this was on Switzers dyno jet before the winter.

Hey thanks bro! Nice Evo, it seems that there were alot of wingless evos there that day. So how did your evo do?

Thanks again, but I sound like a broken record as I only paid for all of this. Switzer was the builder and the credit should go to him. And Trin, it seems with your times and driving you are one great day of weather away from your 10 sec pass! Nice runs on your thread!

I ran a 12.06 116mph, any little bit more power or alittle wind in the back or if i took of my shoes i should be in the 11's haha. Whoever was driving your car when we were lined up was running mid 12's at 122mph your car is quick, with the right driver.
