DEVO Tuning recently put this EVO together for a customer of his. The car is sporting a Shearer Fab 35r kit and a heap of the other goodies. It is near full weight, A/C and everything remains but the gas tank was replaced with a fuel cell.

The result? 10.2@136.5 and 640 AWHP on AMS's dyno. The fuel was VP C16 w/ no alcohol being used. Not bad for a street car.

What clutch is in that car?

 

Thats what I'm talkin bout. No power adders(Alky injecton).

 

Alky is no more of a power adder than race fuel is.

 

Yes it is, it cools the intake charge which race fuel does not.

I'm aware of this, but ultimately they both just let you run more agressive maps.

Why dont people use alky with race gas?

 

C16 will make far more power on a GT35R than alky alone.

This is great power, great launching, and great repeatable performance. I'm impressed.

smp3000, last I heard they are going to try and make it to Buschurs event this weekend. With Norwalks track prep hopefully they will be able to improve upon the ET a little.

Turbojunkie, DEVO has there own twin disk clutch set-up that works extremely well. I don't think they have run into any issues with it yet.

 

Nice street car.. Were those passes made with slicks? i couldnt really make out what tires they were, kinda looked like they are M&H?
