I had a really bad day at the track.... I really got to get this 2-step down... I had 3 redlight out of 6..... My fastest time was 12.7..... My buddie Elf, had better times... 12.5 12.6 consistenly.... My first run was 13.3 and after worse..... traps were 110, 109, and 103... others don't know.... 6- fts were bad too... 2.3 3.2 2.9 I really gotta get this 2-step down.... And today was the first time i used it too... what a day to test it out.... But i'm not alone, i'm sure... But the car is fast.... its just the driver..... I sooooooooooo pist...........!!!!!!!!!!

 

Pick a night to go to GLD and I'll drive your car for you while you sit shotgun

You need seat time pretty badly, but you also will want to get some help somehow so you don't have to learn the really hard way (breaking a lot of parts)

 

Don't worry about red lighting. You're lighting up the line. You're matching 60' time with FWDs. Not good at all.

 

Your 60's are worse than a FWD but that doesnt explain your traps. With your mods trapping 103-110 means that something is wrong. Were you lifting at the end? Have you checked for boost leaks?

 

You just suck at driving. I thought that you were a better driver than me. NOT! Yea your fastest time was a 12.7 with a redlight. I ran faster then you with my stock turbo! Let me show you how to drive.....

 

i'll do better next time around.... Look at Elf, his first time with the two step ran 14's... Atleast i hit 13's and then finally 12's my first time... It'll be different next time... If you do add the 2-step, you'll see.... Some people get the 2-step down right away.... I guess i'm just not one of them.... Time is the key i guess...

Don't worry, you will get it down next time when we hit the track again. Or you can practice your launch like Elvis and sit at the line like 10 second to concentrate...good luck and hit me up next time if you guys want to do it again.

btw, what was ELF's trap speeds?

 

I believe they both trap pretty identical...@112.xxxmph.

I still think there is something wrong with both of their car. The trap is low for both ELF's and Fitch's car @24-25psi with meth. My car trap much higher than that on pump alone with my street tune map I did back in May. Elf's car should be trapping at least like mine or higher and faster.

How's the Supra coming along?

damn, that is a low trap speed for a 35R on 24-25psi.....most likely driver error...do you know their 60'?


as for my car, nothing yet....still debating right now if I should go all out or not....

 

Ya seat time, seat time, seat time....wow 2.9 is the slowest I have seen. But its a start, and when you are rocking those 1.6x you will be happy.

Dont worry about cutting a perfect reaction time or redlighting if you miss. It doesnt count towards your time. I usually wait off the line for a brief moment then go. I get asked why I do it when I am at the track, I just say I like catching and passing

On the 2-step, take out the slack in the clutch line, so you feel like you are almost going to move. Then when the ambers cut out, walk it back at a prisk but not fast pace. You car will fly off the line. Heck I go sideways sometimes as all the tires look for some traction.

 

Two things: First is the obvious, which is driver mod. That will drop your e.t. considerably. The second, your trap speeds indicate that their may be some troubleshooting that you need to do. A 50 trim on 24-25psi should trap closer to 120 not 109-112. Boost leak test/compression check/ fresh plugs/good gas can all be culprits. Good luck I'm sure the times will drop a ton.

 

Elf was in the mid 1.8s...sitting at the line like 10 second...
Fitch, lets say not so well.
It's not the driver's error on the trap speed part, thats what determine how much power the car is making. But driver's error on the ET part.
