First time with new setup
Well I went to the track today for the first time with my new setup. I think I could have done much better but it's decent for the first run with all the new stuff. Do you guys think I could have a better time with better driving skills or am I lacking power somewhere. Car sees 28psi all the way to redline and afr's are solid. Another thing is that my 2step only sees about 7psi on the launch. I figured it should be higher, especially for a 37r?
60ft - 1.841
330 - 5.068 92.68mph
660 - 7.702
1000 - 9.948
1320 - 11.874 @ 117.60
Comments appriciated - good or bad, I have a thick skin I can take it lol

yeah better run a slower time then blow up the motor...same thing with his car on the 11.6 run i actually ran that and i was in 4th gear and his redline is 7500 i believe and i didnt want to shift into 5th so i actually let up at the end because i was right at 7500....

Not bad, I think you just need more practice. Believe it or not, your mph will go up once your driving improves. My car is on stock block also, and makes similiar power numbers to you. I expect to be in the same ball park once I go to the track for the first time with this.

Judging by your time slip info you just need some more seat time. 60 ft being the first thing, and then some shifting. Remember climate and track conditions can cause some havoc as well so don't let that discourage you. Just cuz someone with similar mods somewhere else ran better times does not mean you will run the same where you are. Keep at it and I'm sure you see some better times. One thing you can do is let someone you trust drive the car to see what happens. Sometimes we are a little more timid on our own cars and don't always drive it as hard as we could.

That's about what we'd expect on an 05 MR with the stock turbo, cams, and race gas or alky. You could have achieved that with your MR and the stock turbo.
So, the question is...knowing you don't have a built motor and have very short gearing due to the 6spd, why in the love of God did you install a 37R? The 35R is a 10-sec turbo. The 37R is even bigger. You shouldn't be trapping under 130mph with that turbo. 117-118mph indicates 380-400whp on a Dynojet, just FYI.
So, either build the motor and head so that you can rev to 8500-9000rpm in order to actually USE that turbo, or get rid of it and go back to a milder turbo like the BR3065, 50 trim, or GT30, etc. Hmm, actually...guys are trapping 126-128 on the BR3065, so that's too much for you - go with a 50-trim on 93/alky.

could not agree more with warr's comments. your mph is very low for the hp you claim. I hit 115 in vegas (2200ft) on the stock turbo and half your mods.

thanks for the comments guys. The only reason I went with the 37r (yes the thought crossed my mind that the 37r is way outta my league) was because I got the whole kit at a killer price that was in my price range. Also, I do plan to build the engine and head in the next 6 months to a year and I really just wanted to go with one turbo setup rather then go through the trouble of trying to sell a used kit and buy a new one. I agree I need more practice, i've only been to the track a total of about 6 times. As for the 2 step, it's set at 6750 and builds 7psi. I was expecting it to be set at 10psi or higher.

People always say, "I got a killer price, so I had to get it," but we all know that's not really the case. Good price maybe, but good Lord, any fully 37r kit is going to cost a boatload. However, if you plan to build the entire engine and head to full race spec, then it doesn't matter and trying to run it now before being ready is just wasting your time. Right now, you can't spin the engine high enough to actually USE that turbo where it shines. I am pretty sure you'll go tons faster once you complete the whole deal. It's not a bad idea going all the way to the big boy if you don't want to buy turbos twice and don't mind waiting until the whole setup is completed before worrying about how fast it is.
Right now, I think you should not track it and not worry about trap speeds. Take it back out after the engine/head build.
