Way to go Mike. You are virtually almost a 11 sec car. Good job indeed!!

What significant changes have you made since I last saw you there last month? Do you think the temps are helping a bit?, The last time I went there in August it was hot as hell, remember? I recall being completly soaked of sweat when I was there last time between 2100 and midnight.

If you think the temps have something to do let me know and I will race the Evos tomorrow in Phoenix. Anyone else running their cars Mike?

Mike,

Excellent driving no matter how you look at it, I am very impressed indeed. I know two people with Evo 9 MR red but I am assuming you saw David (white guy) which he is from Tucson.

He runs 12.5s here in Tucson and he is also a great driver, he traps almost 112 here in Tucson as well. Ironically he was also racing his stock evo 9 turbo for the last time before putting a turbokit (I am not sure which one he is going to get).

Mike, I just spoke with Socorro and we both agree that we will be there tomorrow running both Evos. Are they open tomorrow?

As far is the weather, I am not sure about Phoenix but here in Tucson the temp has drop around 25 degrees, we are reaching 60s at night, I assume that a few degrees cooler in Phoenix....

Please let me know if they have races tomorrow otherwise there is a huge car event here in Tucson(Street Wars). You should bring your car and run it here just to see.

David, congrats. I guessed well, I knew it got to be you. I am glad for you. Somehow you proved again that dyno numbers not neccesarily mean you are going to be faster, your last dyno at IAperformance was not a true reflection of how fast your car can go. Excellent job running 12.1 David.

Are you racing tomorrow here in Tucson at the Street Wars?

Hmm maybe, I will see Carlos. Phoenix is definately hotter than Tucson. I felt it get colder the closer I got to Tucson on the way home.

The last time I race there it was significantly much hotter in Phoenix than in Tucson. What I know for a fact is that regardless of the temps I always run about .2-.3sec faster in Phoenix.

Mike, if you could do that you would make me the happiest man. You have no idea how much fun I have talking with other Evo owners and watching and rcaing together. Please by all means bring as many people as you can and I will put another group here as well.

Typically the Street Wars here in Tucson are packed. Worth every cent.

3250 with you in it? Holy crap, do you weigh 110lbs, or have you done some weight reduction? My MR is pretty light, but it's 3375-3380 with me and almost no gas in the tank with nothing extra in the car, but I weigh 220 or so.

Ok, one of you bastids needs to take off their stock turbo and get it to me ASAP!! I have cash in hand!

Speaking of weight, WOW your car is light bro. My MR weights 3110lbs (without me,190lbs)with almost no gas but I have many mods that reduce weight. You probably weight 170-180lbs, are you sure the scale was right?.

My significant weight reductions are:
almost no gas(2 gallons)
coilovers
Buschur mini battery
no front crash beam
no floor mats
no spare tire
