What's the fastest 03/04 Evo with the stock 9.8 hotside turbo? I'm trying to see how far I can get on the stocker.

My buddy just set the STi record on stock turbo, so I'm going to try to do the same with my Evo. Just seeing where I stand as of the moment.

 

Just out of curiosity, what did your friend ran? the fastest stock turbo on an STI suppose to be 12.3(according to NASIOC)

^^^ Thanks for confirming my theory. Believe me , if a STI runs faster than a 12.3 on stock turbo we would find out quick.

np man. I was there to witness that pass last Wednesday and it was awesome. He's a drivin' ****, that's for sure. Everyone that was out there congratulated him.

I just want to find what bar the 03/04 stock turbo Evos have set so I can attack it.

That's a nice time, but he has the 10.5 hotside.

I'm talking 03/04 turbo untouched.

 

Sean Glazer is the record holder..11.72 at 117mph

 

I know the record has to be lower than that. I have the record for a mail-in flash stock turbo at 11.68@119. This is with a 10.5 hotside but pretty basic mods. Im sure the record is low 11's.

 

Well, I know Ray(Rraulston) which trapped 117mph on the stock 9.8 in Tucson (3100ft) effortlessly, that is well over 120mph at sea level.. but get this he did not even tried hard nor he ran the car more than 2 or 3 times.

Well I'm assuming he means on the 9.8 hotside right? Thats why he doesn't include 05's.

 

We have a local here that ran 11.5@118 with the stock 9.8 hotside.... And another 03 that ran 11.7@117 also with the stock 9.8...

 

Curt Brown DID infact run a 10sec pass on a 9.8. I believe it was a 10.98 @ 124ish.

Sorry guys, it was a 10.5 for the 10 second passes but I went 11.58@119.58 on the 9.8 a few weeks after getting the car, 10's is cake walk on a 9.8, really doesn't help much with the 10.5, maybe 1-2 mph.
