Personal best on my IX MR.

Run my personal best today on my 9 MR.
Aftermarket mods: drop-in filter, downpipe, catback.
Power: 310whp / 316wtq on dynojet.
Gas: Shell 93 octane.
Weight: 3375 with driver

The car was tuned with drop-in and catback, just added the downpipe recently.

I'm maxing out my 4th before the end of the 1/4 mile, do I increase my rev limit or just shift to 5th?

Catback..........$400
Downpipe.......$199
Drop-in filter...$60
Track..............$28
1.72 60' / 12.10 @ 113.82 without powershifting........priceless!!
Tune = 0$? Did you tune it yourself?

when you say maxxing out 4th do you mean 7600 or have you increased the limit already? I wouldn't reccomend spinning past 8200 with stock valvetrain and I wouldn't go past 8 personally

Good numbers none the less.

the stock rev limit is 7606 to be exact. Most tuners move it up to 7800.

310whp on a Mustang Dyno or Dyno Dynamics, and do you weigh 500lbs? That's great mph on 93oct with stock cat and not raising the boost - not sure how it's possible personally.

Just FYI, not powershifting is not a big deal. Most people don't, and it's not required to go fast.

The car was roadtuned by Al without the downpipe, I was only listing the parts.

I was trying to hit 11.99, I guess my mods won't cut it. I also made a mistake of adding 1 gallon of 100 octane after a few runs on low 12 which made me run rich and since I do not have a MBC to raise boost, the 100 octane did not help at all.

How much more mph will I get if I raise my rev limit to 7800? my speedometer is showing 115 before I cross the line and that hitting the rev limit like 4x. Even at bad launch the car is trapping 113, this is what my worst run look like:
60' 2.1
330 5.596
1/8 8.432
MPH 86.58
1000 10.853
1/4 12.881
MPH 113.12

You should have raised the rev limiter to 7800 a long time ago. Not sure why you haven't already - it should have been done already by Al unless you're saying that you're hitting it at 7800 already. You should be able to trap 115-116 if it's at 7800. The 100oct didn't hurt you - it doesn't make you run rich - but I can see how it didn't help if your tune isn't on the edge.

Lol...500lbs, the 9MR weight 3375 with me. the dyno number is without the downpipe, I'm sure not sure how much it help and yeah it is on dynojet.

93 and not raising the boost, I guess Al is a great tuner huh. You probably remember the unfamous V4.

Oh yeah, Im ordering my rally cat and licp soon then get a retune. Hopefuly it will be enough for high 11s.

Hmm, 310 on a Dynojet would get nowhere NEAR 113whp, and you're right, the DP doesn't add any power at all when you still have the cat. I'm not sure how you jumped from your previous traps to almost 114 on pump gas, low boost, stock cat, low dyno numbers, etc etc, but that's awesome. No VIII would have a chance of matching that, and I haven't heard of any other IX getting near that with the same conditions.

Yes, for your MR to weigh 3775 with you in it, you'd have to weigh 500lbs. Mine weighs 3380 with me in it as confirmed by the scales at the track, and I weigh about 225 with my helmet and clothes.

^^my mistake that's 3375^^

This car looks almost stock from the engine bay except for the catch can and grounding wires, I'm trying to hit high 11's with the least amount of mods, I thought 100 octane would help, but I did not gain any. As far as my previous run I did not know the end of the quater mile was like 60ft behind the time light and the quick slip on stock clutch actually works.
