I doubt he told him not to use one. He probably told him not to install one 5 minutes prior to his appointment.
It is proven that MBC is better option than using rigging the ecu's boost taper system to hold boost

No, Al @ dynoflash told me it wasn't necessary. If you don't believe me, I can pull him into this because I don't like being accussed of being a liar when I'm not lying. I orginally wanted an MBC, but for the IX, he told me it wasn't necessary.
On many IX's I can get the boost to hold very well with the ecu and removal of the upper boost pill
A MBC is never a bad idea - just maybe not required on a IX

Nightshifter also said that you dont need a fuel pump is that also true AL in your opinion. Not that it's a must but more of a failsafe.
baised on the fact that your advise is greatly respected

in all honesty i'd rather let the ecu control boost especially with temperature fluctuations, i think its going to be a PITA to keep adjusting the MBC in New England weather where we can have 10 deg one day and 50 deg the other, so i'll have to think about having the mbc hmm....
No IX's don't NEED them, they have better FP's than VIII's from the factory. But there is a higher probability of IX pumps failing, so a Walbro is a good failsafe...
Like i said, you're both right, who cares.
not true, every full 1/10th better in the 60ft is usually a full 2/10'ths quicker in the 1/4 mile. Now this is also based on the fact that all other shifts were hit perfectly and the car was running exactly the same...
I did say that Steve and I was told otherwise thanks for backing me up on that one not bashing anyone but thats somthing hard to believe until you experience it for yourself.
Again guys thanks for great replys

yea i've realized it first hand running a few of my previous cars at the track as well as watching other people. Thats why i like awd cars to begin with, they launch great and get great 60ft's
To me I see the MBC it as a ultimate control of boost. Change the elevation, change the temperature or go to the track and change the gas mixture and you will realize that a MBC is perhaps a very convinient tool.
I believe Vishnu and Cobb and Works have their way to control boost through the solenoid however the MBC/EBC is a wide prefer method to more efficiently control your boost.
