Thanks man I really appreciate it!!

I wish they would not have kicked me from the track. I think with some more trys I could have done better. 10.7 is not bad for 3rd pass in the car.

Off topic question but what is with all the sponsered cars out of curiousity? Do most people consider the company that they bought, got tuned or got parts installed at thier sponser? Do most of these cars truly have sponserships or is it mainly just to help promote thier favorite vendors?

very good question I probably should've made it more clear.. But the "sponsor" is definitely meant for cars ACTUALLY under some sort of written or at least verbal sponsorship from the vendor. Not just who tuned or worked on your car. Anyone who sees anything funny or knows some things I don't know please PM me so I can keep the list as true and accurate as possible.

In this case, sponsor truly means sponsor.

My group of guys i work with English Racing have put in countless hours for free and at the track every weekend working and tuning the car at no charge. I would consider that a sponsor. Also Fullblown has sent me fuel parts at no charge to help promote his products
I bet alot of the cars in here are in the same boat i am

I guess it's going to be up to the shops to come on here and decide who really is one of their guys. Until then, it's hard for me to say.

I think it should say "shop affilation" instead of "Sponsor".

I help out guys that listen to me, buy a lot of our parts and go fast, not sure it is a sponsor ship but they end up with discounts or free tuning, going the extra mile etc.

During the private track rental at Norwalk last Monday, every time I pulled back into the pits after a run David Buschur was waiting for me to check the logs, see how the car felt, and how it ran.

He would check the logs and make changes as he saw fit. We both wanted a 10 sec. slip. I think maybe he wanted one more than me.

At one point, he was literally running to his race trailer for a view of my laptop in the shade (poor monitor for visibility in high light conditions) before the battery died.

This scenario occurred after each one of my 6-7 runs that day. It was like having my own world - class tuner....just for me and my car.

I've not experienced this "going the extra mile" from the Buschur crew just once either. Dave and I have had many phone conversations, emails, and PM's. He has always helped me get what I want out of my sled without selling me on extra BS that is not needed. I probably would not have that option with a parts / monetary sponsorship.

That to me is worth more than any monetary sponsorship I could ever have.

First off great idea- and secondly- I can see how this might make things a lot easier. I know shops can only give out a certain amount of actual sponsorships per year, so that shouldn't limit a plug for the guy/shop that has helped you the most to get your car running the times it is in order to make the list.

I'd like to limit the "shop affiliation" to one shop- so think hard for you guys with more than one in there. If you're actually sponsored- stick with your sponsor- if you're not- go with the guy who's helping you most and feel most loyal to.

Sound good? Ya?

I'll make the change immediately.
