SRT-4 vs AWD shootout at SIR results
Overwhelming participation guys!! This was a true demonstration of how well all the car clubs in Tucson are organized.
We truly had every single participation of categories STI, STI limited edition, Evo8's, Evo 9's,WRXs ,GSX and off course tons of SRT-4's.
Everyone did nothing but hot laps, we did not stop racing at all, there was a SRT-4 vs AWD race every few seconds.
Overall Silver Evo 8 with 454whp(Mustang Dyno) won with a 12.08 and almost 120(trapped in the past 121). This car was tuned and driven by IAperformance
Fastest SRT-4 ran 12.5 at 120-122mph(two yellow SRT-4s trapped 120mph plus)
Fastest STI ran 13.4@103
Fastest WRX ran 13.7@99
Fastest Evo 9 was a 12.5@107 Justin's Evo 9
I trapped 105mph on 91oct on the Eclipse untuned
Remarkably everyone started loosing up to 5mph trap speeds after a strong head wind appeared which killed the chances of any fast times. After 2pm basicly no one ever ran even closer to their best times.
There will be tons of videos and pictures downloaded soon.

Update:
Fastest 1/4 mile SRT-4 Today
Yellow with CF Hood- 12.603 at 117.59
Fastes MPH SRT-4 today-
Yellow with flame's on the side- 121.98 mph
My best race was first against the Silver EVo 8, he had a bad launch and we were nose to nose down the track, he pulled a 12.8 to my 13.0 This was my first run of the day, of course he later almost knocked off a full second from his time.(12.08.....NICE!!!)
My 2nd best race was with Justin and his EVO 9, this is where I pulled my best time of the day.
Thanks for the great competition, look forward to another track day soon.....

John,
Your self improvement was truly remarkable. You shaved .5 sec out of nowhere compared to your previous 13.1 sec record.
Your 60' were simply awesome and very respectable...additionally you were racing in such manner that your car looked as if you were on rails, your consistency was your trademark. . I thought I raced you but I guess I raced Wes twice which had the same color SRT-4.
I truly enjoy racing you guys. You are a great driver indeed. Did you received the picture I took of your car?, I sent you a pic to your home private e-mail.

John,
I have confirmation of your 12.6@117 run in video. You ran on the left lane agaisnt Justin's blue Evo 9 which ran a 12.8@107.1.
I also have Justin's 12.5 run agaisnt me and I also have the 121.98 mph pass from Wes SRT-4. We need to get together to that I get your run.

You would think so and that is what typically happens but Tucson SIR is not your typical track, while you hear that every where else the new Z06 run 10.9 on Drag radials here ar SIR we put our floating feets on the floor and that is why the C6 Z06 new with DR runs mid 12's and trap 115 best and 06 Viper runs 12.8's@113 .
That Evo that you are refereing to will eventually run 11's. The owner of the car built the car with the intentions of other than a drag strip car, in fact this car has seen the track in two ocasions.
Today the driver of the 12.0@118 454whp mustang dyno power Evo 8 is a experience driver that runs 11.8@125 on a GSX himself at the same track .
To everyone else the 12.0@118 might seen a little out of the ordinary but in reality is not that bad after all. Today we were runing with a bad bad head wind.
