My 12.05 @111 in my 9 MR

Here is my 12.05 run from 2/9/07 in my '06 MR. The track was rediculously crowded(452 cars) and not prepped as usual, so I only got in 3 runs. It's open again this friday, and I hope to hit 11's then. I shifted into 5th on this run and my other run where I hit 12.1. I did a run staying in 4th and pulled a 12.2. I hope to get in more runs with staying in 4th and shifting to 5th. Track is @ 2300ft elevation here in Vegas and was about 55 degrees. Oh, and car weighed in at 3525lbs with me in it and a 1/4 tank of gas.

Here's the timeslip and video. Mods in my sig.

Testudo, his car is stronger than 112, but he shifted to 5th. He needs to stay in 4th on a run where he drives as well as the run we see here.

Wow, 3525 - that's 150 more than me in my MR, but I weigh 225lbs and have no weight reduction except the spare if you consider that weight reduction.

There is no weight reduction done to the car, plus I have my subwoofer box in the trunk too. I want the car exactly how I drive the it on the street. I'm definitely gonna do some runs staying in 4th this weekend and see where that puts me. I was just experimenting with shifting into 5th to see what the result would be.

very nice run indeed. Can't wait to hit the track next week for the first time...

Question: what's your rev limiter? if i calculated correctly with stock wheels and 7800rpm limit the car can pull 118mph.

My limiter is set at 7800, and I'll hit it just after I cross the finish line. It doesn't feel like there's much power that high, and that's why I was playing with shifting into 5th. I went to the track again last night, but it was a waste of time. There was absolutely no prep, and the best 60ft I could manage was a 1.9. Did 3 runs which consisted of two 12.3's and a 12.6 all at 113mph and staying in 4th.
