New PB today
The car weighs 3220 with me in it. So its pretty light and the weather had a lot to do with it. And yes the stock clutch is touchy at these power levels. It's very easy to smoke it. I had a few aborted runs yesterday due to slippage on the launch.
Again I cant thank Andy and the crew at SpeedElement enough for the tunes he has done on my car. They are definitely on
Next time we head up you should come Andy. It would be cool to get a group together from SpeedElement. We could have a little Evo launch 101 class before racing starts

Sweet times man..I am hecka jealous..I think you need to reserve your new clutch now. It ain't gonna hold with that kinda power. If you smeeldt it you dealt it. Probably glazed it. I am in awe of your 60ft times with that baby. Hopefully we will get synchronized and be out at the track together sometime. I am in for a clutch job now since mine didn't last through my first power mod upgrades! 11k on the odo.
Thanks everyone, I was very surprised with the car.
And for the burnout. I roll through the water box. And just as the rears roll out of it just pretend like your going to launch the car, (push in the clutch, blip the throttle to 5500 or so and dump it) and stay on it until you are about 10-15 feet from the starting line. This will clean the tires and put some heat in them. On a hot day you might not need to do this (depending on power levels and what tires you are on and track conditions) But when its in the 50's this is a must.
I also drop the fronts to 25psi if I'm having any traction problems, but only if your spinning the tires because it will cost you a bit of mph.
