Well i went to the track in bithlo wed night in my boys evo 9 he had me run a few times cause i drive better than him well the evo is stock...just we took off the rear section of his exhaust and it was at 18-20 psi....my best run of the night was a 1.78 60ft and coming down to a 12.49@107.9 and the car is stock....

 

what track was this at...thats pretty impressive run, do you have the full time slip...

 

I'm going to have to raise the BS flag.. Was this track down hill? 18-20 psi is lower then stock boost and you ran a 12.49 at 108?

 

Sorry, don't believe it. You would never hit a 12.49 with that trap speed on only a 1.78 60', and it's not likely to hit 108mph to begin with. Removing the "rear section" can give 10-15whp, so that's not actually stock either, but regardless, I don't believe the time.

No way just dropping the exhaust on a otherwise stock IX is going to get you those times. '60 wasnt even that good.

theirs the time slip ill be out tomorrow in the evo seeing if i can run better.....the car was stock just with the boost up from 18-20 and just open dp the car is still stock...you dont have to believe it but hey i know the car..

yea the rt tree here for some reason goes from .000 now i dunno y but usuaully its .5 but it goes from .001 thanks..im going out tonight to see if i can get any better on the run...my boy will be getting a new clutch soon so ....

I dont see a reason to raise the bs FLAG. Back in 03 when the Evos first came out, I saw a yellow one run at englishtown. He dropped the exhaust from the downpipe and pulled out the filter. The car ran a 12.5 right in front of me. When questioning him about it, he told me he bought the car that week and the car was stock. All he did was drop the exhaust at the dp, remove filter, add race gas, and run a 12.5. mph was pretty much in the same range because I was running 103 in my civic and I remember him being 3 or so mph faster. I saw it happen before me. 03 Evo, and that had a 9.8 hotside and no mivec.
