Back 2 the track and time to upgrade
Well went back to the strip last night in Roswell, 3600 ft, figured i could beat my last months PB MPH or maybe a new et. I purchased some C16 turned the boost up way higher than ever, normal 25.5 on autometer guage, and set off to do some logging/tuning. First off it had been raining and i could not find traction at all four wheel burnouts and second gear sideways action. I noticed no matter how much i turned up my MBC the boost would not move, then my car started breaking up in 4th. I ran worse at this boost level than on pump. Did a boost leak test and my stock BOV is leaking at around 26 psi, bad, and i fouled my plugs. I am going to save up for an HKS DLI ii and better BOV. Then tune for C16. On the plus side i had only one area with any knock but load were aound 199 at high rpm and peaking at around 150, thats shifting, the load at spool up in 3rd gear was close to 289. Any suggestions? Does anyone know of a colder plug for the IX yet?
