Dont Go To The Track When its 102*
A couple friends wanted to go, i know its only a 1/8 but the nearest 1/4 is 3-4hrs away. I picked up 3-4 more mph (86-91) from the last time (after I retune the timing and made it more aggressive) better 60ft (from 1.74 to 1.67) but same time 7.8 . Alot of ppl were complaining there times were off but the heat is probably the blame. Little video I made enjoy:

Also I know I can WOT shift to get better ET but I have to drive this thing home I already lost one tranny from my last car doing that crap

hmm i dont feel like my shifting change though, the only thing that was different was I took it to 7500ish in 2nd and 7600ish in 3rd just to keep me from coasting to the finish or shifting into 4th. But like I said there were several people complaining about there ET's being a couple 1/10's off that day.
i guess I should made it @ least one pass WOT shifting but I dont know how much these cars can take doing that.
the only thing else I can think of is I change my tires from the last time I was @ the track. Going from a 235 to 255, I also notice in DLL that I lost couple mph's up top but it acclerated faster. It had me thinkin "how did I lose power from a better tune" then it hit me the tires. The tune is way better than last time to (just more timing a/f is still 11.8 to 11.6 @ redline)

but again it was ALOT cooler when I went last time running 7.8 @ 86 running WAY less timing. then that day my intake temps were 125-145 running 7.8 @ 91 with more timing no knock. I think the motor was working twice as hard from the temp. Any that has been to FL can comment on the heat with humidity. I have been to Iraq were its dry heat and think its worse with humidity.
this is just my opinion
