Talking 11 sec stock turbo in the heat :)

Loc: Steele (Alabama International Dragway) 8/04/07. Very hot and humid! Coolest I could get my MAF down was 104*F. Then it quickly raised as I close the hood to move to stagging lane.

Car: 272/272 HKS cams+gears, ARP headstuds, 3" full Exh no cat, Buschur Race FMIC+Upper and lower pipes, ECU+, Zeitronix WB, 750 injectors, Exedy HD twin, 10# nozzle of pure Methanol, 93 octane, 320 wear rated all-season tires at 39.5 PSI. Full weight minus spear tire. Stock block. Stock 2003 turbo+manifold+02 housing. 5900 RPM Stationary Rev Limiter.

Result: 1.5s 60', 7.6s 1/8, 11.9s @ 113 MPH in the 1/4.

I am missing about 4-5 MPH at the far end. But with so many cars having problem in the heat/humidity I am happy.

1.5 60' on All-Seasons inflated to nearly 40psi? Umm...not sure about that.

And I slightly spin Advans and RT-615s with only 300whp and 22psi inflation. I would rip up 40psi all-seasons all through 1st while bouncing off the rev limiter.

39.5psi in his tires. No one hits 39.5psi on the stock turbo.

stock turbo spikes to above 30PSI and settle wherever. I am usually pretty busy at this time. That is trying to keep the turbo from dropping pressure after each shift.
Tires are Fuzion ZRi 245/40/17 at 39.5 PSI pressure.

You are right. I had to look that up!
I was told by the shop when I got them that they were all-season but they are really Ultra High Performance Summer rated by Tirerack.!
Oh well. They are the best I ever had in the rain.

Hey man!
I met up with that Z06 owner after the race and he was pretty cool. He took the lost graciously.
So that night I got to pick on a Single Turbo+Slick Supra, a _stock_ C5 Z06, and a newish Z28 on Spray. Not bad huh!

The heat probably helped traction compound and prep. Nice job. Any reason why you haven't moved to the 10.5 hotside or EVO9 turbo?

I believe that they are so sucky that they relieve most of the shock I put on my drivetrain til this day. Something has to slip somewhere.
