Ran the '06 RS at the local strip...

Not too shabby. I think I'm pretty much on par with the mods I have.

Quick mod list: Buschur Stage 1 & 2, Walbro fp, Buschur mustache bar, Bridgestone RE01Rs, ACT + street lite flywheel, and other minor mods that probably don't help.

Here's an engine pic: http://rufridr.com/EVO031608/010.jpg

I launched at 6000rpm where I was building 12-14psi of boost at the line. Crappy track conditions caused me to spin a bit. 22psi of boost tapering to 21psi by 7000rpm shift. Car weighs 3018lb without me in it. Damn laptop wouldn't connect to the car so I couldn't change the 2-step or the rev limiter or even datalog! I was crossing the traps in 4th gear ~7700rpm. My rev limiter is 7850rpm. LOL! I know I wasn't hitting the limiter until I passed the end of the track because the green WIN light came on before I hit it in several passes.

Cams would get me 11s, but I like the driveability of the car the way it sits. I've told some people in the past high 11s to low 12s, but I set a realistic goal tonight of 12.50s@111mph before I raced. I'm quite happy with the outcome. I'm sure others could cut 1.60s and break into the 11s, but they take a risk of their aluminum xfer case exploding on the line. I slipped the clutch off the line, shifted as fast as any grandpa could shift, and it ran what it ran.

Let the trash talking begin. Remember, I'm a parking lot Autocrosser & Lapping Day kinda guy. This the first time I've dragraced since a 2004 Mustang Cobra back in 2006.

Night!

Buschur Stage 1 includes a mail-in flash from Al at Dynoflash. Max 22psi boost is what he told me. Part throttle could use some work as I autocross this car 99% of the time and it's prone to bucking some times. I'm leaning towards converting to Mellon. No disrespect to Al, but his tune is perfect for dragracing, but I need more STABLE power in the midrange.

Cheers!

It's known fact that Al only tunes the car WOT, and half assed the job by neglecting partial throttle and everyday drivability. It's good power though, and very nice times
