went to the track

went to englishtown this weekend and got a couple of runs in. my best was 12.43 @113 with a 1.75 60". i was cold and no one was hooking up. i definitley could have gotten the 60" to like a 1.5-1.6. and my mods are intake, cosworth 272 cams, dc downpipe- testpipe, megan catback, reflash on a stock clutch. next time a think i can get it down to at least a 12.2 as long as its not to cold and i can get it to hook up

Nice run.

No boost controller? What psi?
Stock blow off valve?

Not bad. From my experience, it's not that easy to pull a 1.5-1.6 60'. I would be happy with consistent 1.7 60' times. Either way, you should be good for low 12s with that 60' and trap speed. I ran a 12.16 @ 112.98 w/ a 1.78 60'. All in all, nice run. More practice will make your times even better.

BOV's make a difference because the stock unit leaks at high boost. You are shifting WAY too early.

you might have a leak them...with your set up you should see your peak whp at 6900-7100 mainly because of your cams. Probably the tune?

6700 is too early in those cams.

don't forget to account for torque multiplication by gears...ideally you want to run your lowest gear as long as your torque curve allows you.......peak whp means nothing, there still hundreds of RPM after your peak where your lower gear will take you faster than your next gear.

For example; if you peak at 6700 RPM with 330whp but at 7200 rpm you are still making 300whp then your first gear will benefit you faster than your 2 gear at 320whp for example due to gearing:

300 whp (rpm /torque) * 4.53 (Final gear) * 2.909 (1st gear) > 320whp *4.53*1.944(2nd gear)
