13.07 @ 103MPH is my mph low?

So our track finally opened up for the season, I only got three runs in that night as our track is biased to domestics.

So I was actually quite happy with my time given I only have a cat back for performace mods. The altitude here is 1500feet and our track is notorious for shave a half second off times.

But my mph seems low, what do you guys think?

Means you're a fast driver with a slow car? Your ET isn't the norm with that level of power I'm judging by your trap, but hey sometimes traps won't be very strong despite the time. Do you know how much power you're making? IX with Catback and MBC, so maybe 270 WHP? Tuned?

I want your 60' time.

I remember reading somewhere that our cars are supposed to do 13.1 stock with a pro-driver so I'm not sure.

that looks exactly right...105mph+ is usually when you start trapping 12s

Yep my first time ever at a track (Buschur shootout) I clicked of a 12.95 @ 106 with a 1.89 for a 60' in my nearly stock VIII (K&N drop-in & Stg. 2 Cera-metallic clutch) along with taking my seats and spare out (it only takes 15-20mins).. So basically I was a little heavier than a stock RS, with maybe 5 more HP.
But I got a total of 19 RUNS IN!!!
But your right on par with where you should be completely stock and full weight. If you take the weight out (seats and spare) and run an identical run you'll break into the 12's. But just out of curiosity what was your 60'?? and mph's for each section of the track?

Well I've heard IXs trapping as high as 106 stock. But that isn't average. I never took my IX to the strip stock so I can't tell ya. I forget what stock was...probably 102-103 MPH.

Can we see your whole slip? Honestly, you're not very far away from 12s. Sounds like you had a good launch and some quick shifts.

There's no stock ix that traps that.

And the OP's mph seems right for his time. I did a 12.6@105 and 12.5@107(car had a lot of extra weight and i still need practice), but you get the idea.

This should help to https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=179870

Well thats what they say that they run stock but its bull****. No one ever runs that with the car straight out of the factory.

D@#$ your local track opens in June. And i thought my 8 month track was a hassle. Those times sound right because you don't have a tune!

My 60 foot was consistant 1.9, I am sure I can do better as I was really easing it out of the hole the times I didn't bog. I only took my spare and sub box out, if only I take my spare tire belly out as I am 6 feet and 200lbs.
I think I can hit 12's if I had more than 3 tries, I wish the car had a tune, but that will come.
