Thank God the year is almost over, and it's been a busy one.
I remember back in the spring of all the big talk from the shops on this forum. How are stuff makes more power than your stuff, we ran this number, but it spun the tires and it could have gone faster. We broke so all we got was one run, but it would have gone X.XX fast, and all the flaming going back and forth among members and vendors. It was a very bad deal and made everyone look well... like idiots. Lots of manufactures looking to get into this market look at the forums to see if they would like to get involved. I know of two who did not like what they saw and scrapped programs that would have helped many racers. This not only makes us look bad, but the import industry as a whole.
FYI Only one word matters... RESULTS the rest are just fluff or excuses. So lets cut out the politics and hate between the members, vendors, and the shops. Post results, new developments, and how you got there. Information being the key word here.
On a lighter note it has been a season that has produced a flury of development that resulted in a fleet of 9 second street cars, a few 8 second cars one of which being a street car, and many taking their first trips down the 1320. Records fell and Buschur's events grew from already respectable numbers. It is great to see these kind of numbers at the grassroots level. All the competitors should be proud of the numbers put up this year it shows that everyone is benefiting from all the hard work. I hope next year brings better sportsmanship, lower ET's, and faster MPH for everyone.
So lets all put the bad blood in the past. There are so many other things that are more important than to be E thug champion of EvoM. Try to help the new guys, and lets all try to bring the internet pissing contests to a close. After looking at other EVO forums, this one might not be perfect, but it's tons better than the next closest one.
So to all the shops and teams on EvoM have a Happy Holidays and good luck next year. Indy

EvoM = Drama 24/7 haha!
Congrats to everyone as well. I can't wait to see what 2009 will bring to the table. Have a great holiday season, have fun with family, and be safe!

Awesome post Mr. Indy with some thoughts I feel we all should share. Comraderie and support will go a long way in helping us achieve the goals we have set forth for our Evo's. From the bolt on Evo trying to break into the 12's to the enthusiast working his/her *** of breaking into the 9's with their daily driven Evo. Let's get em done!

Indy, thanks for the friendship and help throughout 2008. Maybe, 2009 will bring many new ideas, parts and results. I know, you and I have been working on new ideas and I look forward to see who else brings something to the plate. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.
Nice post Indy and a lot of good points. My heart isn't large enough to get along with everyone all the time though! haha
I big thanks to you for your input and development this year. Without you things would be different than they are now for sure. I too appreciate your input, ingenuity and mostly your friendship.
2009 is going to be interesting, it's going to be hard to better they year we had this year. It was phenominal.

Great Post Indy.. You were a huge help to the EVO Community with product development.. It would be funny to go back and read the predictions for this year and see how far off they were.. I remember quite a few predictions that never came thru.. 1 of them was mine and that was to go 8's in my Black GSR.. Somehow my RS pulled it off and ran 8's though and made for a great end of season for us at AWD..
Dave, it is going to be hard to top this year for sure i think.. I am excited though to take what was learned this year and apply it to next year in a brand new chassis.. I cant wait for May to come already so i can come up to Ohio and run my car again and hang out with our friends and Buschur Racing!!

. I can't wait for next year to start... if they only knew what is coming
. David without you giving me the chance with the intake manifolds this would not have happened so... it's all your fault
. We killed them this year with the Wilson v2... results baby, 8's and 9's with street cars
. A great effort by everyone at Buschur Racing.Smike thanks for being my test subject for the suspension bits. I look forward to 09 also, lots of cool stuff coming.
AWD Mike it has been a team effort with you and David. I have the easy job while you guys are the ones doing the testing, Thanks again for all the help.
Fathouse, Street, Nissan, DI Tom, and the Amigos have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

... and you are the little sister I always wanted
. Seriously, thanks man. You guys have made all of this stuff fun to do, and in the end it's not about how much you made or what your worth, it's that you had fun, made friends, and made a difference
