12.583/109.33 MPH(Run analysis please)

Went to Englishtown,NJ last night to run my current mods. It was a crazy night with over 300 cars so I only got to make two passes.
Please let me know what I need to work on(60 ft. I know) and the potential in future runs.

Here are the info:

Temp. 67F
Rel. Humidity 79

R/T - .639
60' - 2.009(I'm being too nice on the clutch)Must bring down!!
330- 5.498
1/8 - 8.383
MPH- 84.36
1000-10.875
1/4 - 12.959
MPH - 107.87

The car is in full street trim:
94 Sunoco
Spare tire
Half tank(misjudge the mileage)

Don't ask about the 1st run! Missed a shift(13.275 ouch!)

Thanks,
Paul

Jim, I didn't receive the clutch line yet. 4-5K with a little slip.

I think you could shave a half second off of your 60ft w/your setup. At least get around 1.8. Good job hittin those 12's!

With the stock clutch and clutch line still in the car, I get 1.7 60' times. I rev it to 6500 and dump the clutch - it hooks like mad, and in all but one time I have never smelled the clutch. Then again, I'm reckless because I have an Exedy twin disc sitting in my garage, but just letting you know that it works for me.

I would think you would be running a little faster. I ran 12.5's all day with less mods but rated at 355whp in june. I guess tuning and ignition timing make a huge difference.

Update from last nights run:

R/T - .489
60' - 1.786
330- 5.190
1/8 - 8.060
MPH- 83.55
1000-10.529
1/4 - 12.583
MPH - 109.33

I got my 60' down to where it should be. Maybe next time I'll try some race fuel and turn up the boost a lil. Also removing the spare might help. Any other tricks I'm missing?

Paul

Man, thats a lot of mods to get to mid 12s. Is your car tuned to the maximum level possible?

Just asking. Very bad-azz times.

Hmm.. I think your tune could use a little optimizing.. I don't have the cams and I've run a 12.53 (12.42 is my fastest with a 112 or so trap speed) I think a little tuning and some practice launching and shifting will get you a tenth or two if not more.... try shifting at 6800 rpm, seems to be the sweet spot, sometimes I do the 1-2 shift at 7400rpm... If you rev higher, you might be able to sneak through the traps with one less gear change.. if you don't bounch off the limiter you could gain a 10th out of it..

I'm sure there's still a little room but with this tune, I could run the car hard on a road course all day long. Plus, I could probably run another lb. of boost on race fuel.

Thanks.
