first time out....
my car:
03 VIII, aftermarket clutch, intake, tbe, lowering springs
My questions:
i have 245/45/17 street tires, should i adjust the air pressure at the track?
being that i have awd and street tires, the water box is useless so just drive around it, correct?
i know the stock 9 ecms have a two step that lets you launch at 5500, is that where i should be lanching at?
the answers to these questions and anymore beginner info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

.well your tire pressure can stay the same untill you know that you need to lower it because of too much tire slip.
.the water box you can just drive around
.yes i would use the 2-step rev limiter and ride the clutch out a lil and you should be good.
it will take some getting used to and a bunch of times befor you really understand how your car performs at the track so good luck and let us know how you do
edit: the evo 9 has a factory 2-step you say you have an evo 8 tho so you wont have one unless you have it reflashed

ok, the day is over. I learned a whole lot today. Mainly to step out of my comfort zone and trust what the car is capable of. I still need to work on my 60ft. I feel like I'll have a lot better times and mph if I get the two step lowered to 5500 with a tune. Enough of the talk though here's the slip of my best run
