Went back to the track last night. VIDEO ADDED!
Well I returned to the track last night to better what I did on my last outing....here's the thread on that visit.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...-low-140s.html
What's changed from the last visit was we swapped out the Cosworth M2's for a set of Kelford 272/280 IX cams.
Car was in full street trim last night and same toyo tires.
First couple of pulls down the track I was using to tune the cams in...started off the night with an 11.5 @ 130 pull, then started getting 12's but the trap kept going up in the mid 130's.
Last pass of the night I had extra incentive to stay in it through first gear as the toyo's roasted and click off a nice transitional shift to 2nd gear keeping the car in boost.
My last pass was....
2.1........60ft
7.4........1/8ET
103.88..1/8MPH
11.1......1/4ET
138.67..1/4MPH
Max boost on this pass hit 31psi shifting into the 4th. The power is there for flat 10's it's just a matter of getting a better suspension setup and driver practice.
Playing with the 2-step through the night...if I eased the car out the car would fall on its face off the line...any type of built boost off the line would lead to the tires roasting as I went through 1st. I think it's time to order DR's.

Edit: I came across the video thanks to the friend of the Hatch I raced. Check it out!

Here's a link to my thread...

I'm working on posting a video from the pass last night...hopefully I can get it!
Thanks everyone though....with the power the car's making on pump/meth I don't see I wouldn't be able to crack off a high 9 now with traction and a psi or 2 more. We'll see!
Keep in mind I'm still on stock strut/Tein S-tech suspension setup

You and me both
although they aren't that bad just not the ideal.
If you go with a DR with your power be sure to watch out on which ones ya go with.
BFG seem to still be the best however i'm not sure why no one has tried to fit some 275/40 MT's on some stock wheels
If i didn't go with my set-up i would have tried it out if staying with a DR.
The MT seem to hook as good if not better than Hoosier QTP's and they are radial tires!
Good job so far man........work on the launch more so they don't sweat ya bout those trap speeds

I say definite low 10s with a better 60 ft....You hear everyone cheering when they saw that trap you laid down?!! Also in the vid you, as Lupe Fiasco says, "spit hot fire like Dylan on Chappelle's skit" (shooting flames out your exhaust) lol
Wow thats a crazy trap. I figure with non drag tires you would be in the 10s at least. Those tires really blow. You need gear based boost or better tires and you will definitely be in the low 10s.
