Two weeks ago I finally decided to take the car out and see what it would run. The only track around me that I can make it to is eight mile. I made about 8 passes and the best pass of the night was 7.67 at 89.77 with a 1.77 60. I was constantly running 7.71 with a 1.8 60. I have a 03 with a stock 9 turbo, Kelford 272 cams, Buschur Inter cooler and Ic pipes, full exhaust, Buschur front cross member and mustache bar, 24psi on E85 and im running on Dunlop sports street tires.
So now that I am hooked on going faster I figured I would start doing a few parts and going back out each time and see what or if my times would change. I called Mike at AWD and ordered a Aluminum Driveshaft and ordered my rear diff bushings from Buschur. I figured a little weight would help out and turning with to at that.
No with these to part on I took the car back out last night. I ran the best of 7.51 at 92.59 with a 1.72 60. I made no other changes to the car other than the driveshaft and bushings. No bad I thought for a just a driveshaft and diff bushings. Bad news is I need a clutch no. So this week I'm pulling the Tcase and tranny out and shipping them off to Shep. I figured its the best Idea considering my car has 125K on it.
