First race of 09

First race of 09
Well yesterday night I had my first outting to the good ol 1320 for 2009.
Last year I bought my evo 8 in august with a few things done to it, and after adding a few parts and running on a very bad tune on my Powerfc with all seasons ran a best of 12.9 @ 105 mph. This was at 5000+ ft altitude.
This year my goal is to become the fastest stock turbo w/stock motor evo in colorado. My time to beat is 11.3
Current mods to date:
Stock Block
Stock ECU
Stock IX turbo
Walbro 255
Rc 1000cc injectors
ETS 3.5inch IC
ETS 2.5in pipes
ETS intake
Hks 272's
Hks cam gears
TBE
APS BPV
Shep transmission
Shep Stage III T case
ACT 6 puck sprung clutch
ACT streetlite clutch
Thursday night I switched to e85 and spent the wee hours of the morning tuning the car. Boost peaked some where around 30 psi (maxed out boost gauge and haven't gotten a map sensor yet)
Currently the tune is a little rough on the edges and still leaves power on the table but it was good enough for now. On the way down I had some problems with knocking so I was forced to turn the boost down to 25 psi.
First pass-
RT .728
60' 1.88
1/8 8.157 @ 85.18 mph
1/4 12.635 @ 110.88 mph
second pass-
RT .605
60' 1.84
1/8 5.74 @ 81.17 mph
1/4 13.381 @ 109.09 mph
missed 2nd
final pass-
RT .527
60' 1.85
1/8 5.254 @ 86.57 mph
1/4 12.519 @ 111.69 mph
Overall i was pretty happy with the results considering the tune wasn't too special, i was still on all seasons, and the track doesn't do anything for prep.
Hopefully with the tune perfected and some good tires I can achieve my goal!
