Amazing IVEY Tuning, Poor Staatz driving..

Well..finally took my car up to Lebanon today to TRY and get used to the new setup and see how the car is on 93/meth. Right off the bad I rolled out and just went through the gears...

First pass, 60ft: 3.5
1/8: 9.6
mph: 102.48
1/4: 13.3
mph: 136.09

So I was happy it was making good power..so I tried to piece together another run..

60ft: 2.0
1/8:7.4
mph: 107.56
1/4: 12.0
mph: 83.03

I slammed the brakes not wanting to get kicked out cause I thought I would get a better launch...welll that prob would have been my 11.1 run..lol

Best et run was my last...got sideways out the launch and back off and 2nd bogged down and left off early at the top cause it was starting to misfire(my plugs are old).

60ft: 1.99
1/8: 7.65
mph: 105.20
1/4: 11.33
mph: 127.01

I know they aren't the best times but I wanted to see what kind of power I'm making right now. I still need more practice at launching the Tilton Carbon(It's a B#tch BTW) and I should be in the 10s on 93/meth no problem..Oh well..til next time..

Just like to say Thanks to Sean Ivey for making my car a BLAST to drive the 110 miles to and from the track. I have the slips and I'll post them up later when I get home.

what rpm to you have the car set up to launch at? i'm set at 7000rpms and am getting 1.7's with wheelspin. i would think low 10's are a done deal if you drop the 60 based on the traps you're seeing.

Congrats.. The car has some serious power. Must be a hell of a ride! What boost did you run to push this beast down the track? You need some tires or something LOL

Oh and how do you get away with making fast runs??? I ran at etown, Lebanon, Island.. and They all only gave me one pass and done.. Do you slip them a 20 or what

Congrats Tim on making it to the track finally. 136MPH is a bit faster than I expected to be honest, should be good for low 10s with that MPH.

Takes some practice to drive the cars so just try and go more.

Looks good though, should fly once you get the hang of it.

Congrats!

Sean

Freddy, the boost is at about 37psi..What I run daily pretty much. Most the guys there kept joking around about my muscles(kinda weird I know) and when I brought up the Drift event last night they had he forgot all about what he was supposed to do and just said how cool he thought it was..haha

Eh, I was playing with the 2step alittle, on the last run I put it to 7k, I just need to get the whole clutch slip down on this, it's nothing like the act was to launch on my other evo.

it must engage alot differently. i'm almost side-stepping my exedy twin and the car just takes off. great runs btw. maybe i'll see you out there next time. sean pm'd me and told me to turn the boost up, so maybe i'll get into the 10's. i'm sure you will with those traps.

Oh you threaten them with Physical Violence.. LOL. I better start going to the gym. Seriously though that is moving 107pmh to the 1/8 is very strong.. i wouldn't be that surprised if you ran 140mph just the way the car sits.
