I currently have 225/45 17 bfg drag radials mounted on stock evo 8 enkeis. Bfg recommends the widest rim to run with these tires to be 8.5 inches. Has anyone ran these tires back to back after switching to a 8.5 inch rim and what were your thoughts? Did it or will it affect the following drive train shock and side wall stiffness and was it better or worse? any insight would be appreciated as currently i am looking for wheels and am debating if it would be worth it to switch to an 8.5 rim or to stick with the stock size 8 inch rim.
