IveyTune EVO... Going deep in the 9's Tonight @ Atco!!!
Mr. Ivey and MYSELF are the only full steel OEM bodied - full stock GLASS - Evos of which I am aware in the area and its good to see that he was able to make his fast without resorting to gutting the car by installing tube front ends, plastic doors and windows and the like
In the old days we would all race in sanctioned forms of motorsports such as the old SRWD class in NHRA which mandated conformity with weight and equipment standards and which set some uniform rules for some type of parity amung racers
In these days - who ever guts the most weight out of an evo and chops it the most has the lighest car and is the quickest

Glad to see you running fast Sean. You seem to keep going faster year after year like us while others keep slowing down. I also noticed that the HP you made on the dyno matches your trap speed. You obviously don't just use the dyno for bragging rights and then never get the car down the track at that same power. Great job and can't wait to see the car in the 8's!

I have noticed BTW that your car has become more and more mutlated and hacked up in appearance "year after year" and it is resembling a "Evo" less and less with each successive year. What will next year bring, there is not much left to remove or cut?
BTW - FYI - my car made 777 whp (Dyno Jet) this year before the shootout and went 9.75 three times in a row making it to the final of Q16 at 145 mph which correlates well to my race weight of 3100 lbs.

If you want to say something why dont you just come out an say it instead of making these kind of twisted obervations ?

I was simply making an observation. You do the same thing all the time don't you? Our car has looked pretty much the same the last three years or so except for the black hood and roof thanks to me not latching the hood pins.

My brothers car weighs 2990lbs and made 650whp on our Dynojet and trapped 143mph. So you make another 127whp, only weigh 100lbs more, and only trap145mph. That does make sense as 1067whp on the same dyno taps 156mph. You should probably get that dyno checked out or try a new HP calculator. I do not want to ruin Sean's thread as this is about him and his car. It takes a lot of hard work to get an Evo into the low 9's and 160mph is flying. Sean's car did just that. Congrats again Sean!
Keith
Al, you must learn how to congratulate someone without putting down someone else. You now put this thread at risk of being derailed over some bull**** that should be left on evo-tech.
Congrats Sean.
Congrats Sean.
