Thanks for the response Chris. I think some of the rumours started from this video.

you're still on stock tcase? id guess not, but its not in your mod list. I want to maintain some kind of reliability with my setup but im not sure what power levels i want yet, my mods are similar to yours. i was initially going to just go slightly over 600whp and 550wtq+ but now i dont know... how long would a properly tuned BR 2.3 last on 600whp as a weekend warrior?

nice driving.

what caused your 2.3 to throw a rod do you know? was it the tune? i noticed it happened at the very end of the run so im guessing it had something to do with oil starvation?

My T-Case has a quaife diff in it but other then that it is all stock. As long as your setup has a proper tune and is maintained you should get years out of a weekend warrior setup like you mentioned.

nice, thats the same lsd i had shep put in mine also. what happened on that last pass where it spit out white smoke and you got out of it and was driving close to the wall? I can just tell by watching your videos you have your car dialed in extremely well, that thing launches and stays straight all the way down the track.

also what were your dyno numbers on? buschurs dyno?

Car had a boost leak causing a un-wanted boost spike which hit boost cut. Car basically flooded itself out.

Before fine tuning at the track the car made 550 whp and 529 ft/lbs of torque on BR dyno.

ah ok got it. no big deal than. I figured you were gonna say BR's dyno. that means ill need atleast 600whp dynojet to even come close to your numbers. Im gonna get mine done at iveytune again.

do you have anything special suspension wise to help keep the car straight? stock axles?

100% stock stuff still. I did snap a rear axle in half towards the end but just replaced it with another stock axle.

With a real suspension I feel 1.3 sixty's are there as well as picking up some ET on the shifts. As you can see in the video the car bounces all over the place between shifts haha.

Update:

Found a rather large tear in one of my lower I/C piping couplers upon tearing stuff down this winter. It had been like that when I last ran my car. I can only imagine how that affecting things!

I am hoping to have things all back together soon and can't wait to hit the track again. Damn Ohio winter....

I saw in your mod list that you had a BR 3" intake. Is this a true 3" or is something made for the FP BLACK?
