Some info on the Hoosier DR's
Yes, excellent info!
Just to throw in my 2 cents, I ran Nitto DR for a while and those were not even close to the Hoosiers, not even in the same category. I consider the Nitto 'drag radial' to be a good summer tire that happens to have a shaved tread. Nitto's also have a stiff casing. I didn't see much more traction than a good summer tire.
I currently have BFG drag radials. These use a very soft compound rubber with a casing that is softer than a typical summer performance tire. They're firm enough that they can be driven on the street with confidence, although they don't corner with the best. It's meant for straight line traction after all. These are a good choice if you only have one set of wheels/tires and like to drive to the track.
I haven't driven on the Hoosiers, but just poking the casing I can tell that the sidewalls and tread are thinner than the BFG's, plus the rubber feels slightly softer. They're a few pounds lighter than the BFG's, too.

Thanks Pat and Kasaper for another look at what these tires can do, those tires are barely broken in and are giving you the results far better than the "experts" said they would... imagine that. Again awesome job guys!
Have any of you ever driven on the MT DR's?
If you ever have just imagine the Hoosiers are very similar in compound (even softer) and so you can def drive them to and from the track if that's what's needed just have to be careful as they will pick up lots of stuff off the streets
I wouldn't rec'd them for DD'ing but people used to think i was crazy DD'ing my MT's LOL.
Those lasted me quite a few thousand miles.

Ace tuner Javier Monroig, and Driver Rolly from Puerto Rico will be running these tires at a race in the Dominican Republic this weekend. As soon as I get results, I will post them up. He has also purchased a couple of sets for cars in Puerto Rico, results soon.
I know those PR boys will really put them through their paces
We should have a couple more cars needing them but they are still being finished up so possibly more towards the beginning of the new year.
Hope you have all been good boys so Santa will bring ya something nice!
I just received Christmas early. Jim sent my 17" CE28N's back, so my own set of the Hoosier DR's will be mounted soon. My new Wilson billet Intake and other 'Accessories' also came in and it will be installed on the new motor. Lots of stuff to fill my stocking, so things are looking up.

The first motor will be a collaboration of me, Chuck Seitsinger and IndyEvo. We have a few set parts that we already have, so we're working around those parts first. The next engine will be different in several ways. For those who don't know Chuck, he's right at the top in the Honda Drag Racing world. Multiple National Championships and a certified Honda Tech/Mechanic. Big time racer who builds his own engines and works very closely with other big names. We have a lot of people already giving input as to their ideas. The response from many sources has been very much appreciated. While we can't predict results, I'm betting on good things to come. Like all ideas, there will be failures, but there will also be successes.
added: Another good thing is Chuck is local to me. Can't beat driving across town to look at what's going on. Our goal is to try a fresh approach to our engines.
