Later in the year is much better for me for 2010, way too many vacations overlapping middle of July and into August.

hopefully having it a little later will bring even more big names out this year as well. personally i would like to see stm bring out the ricer. with alot of the other builds most of us have been following i think 2010 will be the best year of drag racing yet for the evo community. with the black being released and some of these hybrid 2.4 builds i think the street and stock appearing class this year will have some very fast cars. everyone is gonna have to step it up.

The DSM shootout will be 15 Aug 2010. So no conflict this year. I'm hoping for September. I have 30 days of use of loose and will be taking the entire month off

We finally have a date set for the Showdown. The date is Saturday October 23rd. We had a huge turnout last year and this year should be even bigger. I will update the thread with class information, etc as soon as I have it.

Very strict. If you don't have one and all proper safety equipment then you can't run faster then 11.50.

i am glad the showdown is going to happen again and even happier its not on the same date.

i would love to go to the dyno day again if its being held but last time i was highly disappointed.

1. i was there from 930am to 6pm and only saw about 6 or 7 cars on the dyno. most where the guys racing the next day. me personally i came for a dyno day not a last minute race car tune session. it was cool yes to watch these cars play around but also boring as i wanted to see some local or out of state guys go up on the dyno.

2. the shop was a disgusting mess. everything was a mess. i am surprised you guys were not embarrassed on having all these top notch shops come and hang out in a shop that was just a disgusting mess. also i was most pissed off when i stepped in a pile of old dog crap out front. the surroundings of the building looked like it was never maintained, grass not cut, dog **** in several spots, garbage all over. it was just not a great way to start off the event.

i hope 2010 brings an actual dyno day with many cars, a clean cut parking lot and a building that does not look like a chop shop or garbage dump.

race day was great.

Damnit.

A lot of evo's are capable of running sub 11.50's... and do not have cages.. mine included..

Maybe just come and hangout I guess.
