We had both been warned once if we went faster than 11.49 again we'd be thrown out. We promised in the final run neither of us would break that time and gave them our word. I owed Dave for taking out a faster car earlier in the racing for me so told him we'd both just go slow and I'd let him win by a fender!

This is what rules do for drag racing! hahaha One of the best final rounds ever.

haha, buddy, let me tell you, the track officials were pissed and I got the finger from a few spectators on my way back down the return road, first time that's happened.

This is exactly what I had to go through this past Friday...

1st run: Had a passenger in the car, eased off the line, slammed on the brakes for a 15.622@53

2nd run: No passenger but no helmet, stock clutch pulled 1.70 60', slammed on the brakes again for a 13.11@67. I got scolded big time...

3rd I borrowed a helmet


I thought those waivers we signed before racing made the track not liable for anything that could happen to us. If that's the case, why don't they just let us do what we go there to do?

I sign a paper that says I can't sue if I die and you still won't let me race without a helmet? BS...
