EnglishRacing runs 8.8 at IFO
Jeff Bush, our resident driver/owner/head porter/and part time engine builder went out and smashed his best this weekend at the first annual Pacific Raceways IFO event. The "Big Auto" showed up with some new tricks up its sleeve, a problem free setup, and all it was waiting for was a good track. The temps were good in the morning and got greasy in the afternoon but not before we made it to the finals.
In a friendly final match between Portland locals RREV Motorsports and their 3150lb "street supra" with a 76mm BW on Q, and us on E98 and a 76mm GTX-R it made for an interesting and very close race-

This was one of 3 8.8s (8.85x2 and then the 8.84 all at 156-157) the car made in the last 3 passes. Qualifying at 35psi the car ran a 9.18, a quick bump to 39 got us 8.93, and then 42 was running 8.8s. Saving the rest for the shootout this year.
The Supra also has a TH400 with brake, so Jeff's normal habit of running .100 or less lights with the auto was countered with the same. Nevertheless it was good times to be had by all and at the victory circle they shared beer
to RREV and all that competed
Also special thanks to SpeedFactory.Net for letting us rummage through the shop for an Alternator for our shop Honda...if only we realised we had had a dead pump as well. Anyways thanks guys

Holy hell. Those are two really fast cars. The back half is good for the DSM, but the Supra's back half is insane. Over 35mph on the back half is no joke! Pretty intense for a "street " car!
Very well done by both crews!
