Spark Tech sponsored 4g63 NEW Auto AWD record
Well we had her at the dyno late last week to test the new setup. simply said she was AMAZING. At 44psi and 17* of timing she laid down an easy 1029 whp. Spool was a bit slower from the old setup by about 500 rpm hitting full boost by 7000 but from there she freight trains so violently that keeping all 4 from lighting off was kinda hard. We did have 2 short pulls at 54 psi but wheel spin was just ridiculous so no data from that. We are however comfortable in saying that at 51ish lbs she should be laying in the 1100 hp area with no problems. This brief clip is a 44 psi pull with the 5sp trans locked in third from idle, I wasnt wanting to spend time putting in shifter cables for the test.
I'm needing to lay down all my thanks to those who have helped my project along: ETS , English Racing, Spark Tech, JMFab, Metro Trans (auto), Dog Box Racing, Magnus, and Kiggly Racing.

Sounds like an animal. So with the 5 speed it made 1029whp, so with the auto how much drivetrain loss would there be in that car? Would it be safe to say with the auto it would be around 930ish whp?
The difference between these completely different cars--different chassis, engine, turbo, drivetrain, everything--is seven hundredths of a second and five tenths of a MPH? At the track running 8's all day? Holy rollerskating Jesus.
Last year we ran 8.67@167 weighing 2440 empty, making 1050whp (manual, calculated based on total weight of the car vs mph) spraying all the way down track. We now weigh 2104 empty and are making 1029whp (manual) with NO NITROUS.
When the car was a manual it ran a best of a 9.29@158, it runs 8.80s in its sleep now, and this year with everything redone we are hoping a little bit faster.

Wait you lost me, what cars?

I think its amazing that two cars from different universes trap and ET so close to each other in the realm of 8's. Its pretty exciting to watch.
